Im 34 weeks 2 days and my baby has been breech since I was about 20 weeks. A lot of people have told me she still has plenty of time to turn and what not...Well today when I went to the doctor, he said he thinks I have a abnormally sized uterus and he's almost positive that she wont turn. He told me the when I go back in 2 weeks we will talk more about it. He also said that he is not going to try and turn her himself because Im too small. Also my baby measures at 32 weeks instead of 34 weeks, so shes is about 4 1/2 lbs right now.

So my question is..Is there any other women who have had similar experiences? Where they didnt think that your baby would turn? Or they said they werent going to try and flip them?

thanks in advance

I started going into labor about 4pm on July 7th, around 9pm I went to the hospital. I got checked in and when the nurse checked to see how far I was dialated she informed me that her head was not down. We waited for my OB who did an ultrasound and confirmed she was breech. He turned around and said I will see you in about 30 min we are going to do a c-section. He didn't want to hear any discussion about giving her time to turn or trying to flip her. I had had 4 previous births natrually and was terrified at the thought of going through this. I thought it was very unfair.

My sister had a c-section because my nephew was breech. They kept waiting to see if he would turn, but he never did. My aunt had a breech baby and they turned her around, but my aunt said it was very painful. If your doctor doesn't recommend it, then I would just go with the c-section and be glad that they are able to do it. The most important thing is that at the end of the day you have a healthy baby and mom.

Still might be something you can do for you and your baby. Visit this website - www.spinningbabies.com

There are helpful suggestions - helped me - for making the attempt to get baby in the right direction. Baby's well being and health comes first, but if there's a chance to avoid the knife, doesn't hurt to try.

Click on the techniques link and then breech.
