When you're pregnant, you are breathing for two, not eating for two. If you feel you have to eat, make sure it's something healthful like fresh veggies or lowfat yogurt. If you don't watch out, you could gain too much weight and become toxic. How hungry you are has nothing to do with how many babies you have in there. I gained so much weight with my first child that I became toxic and had to be in hospital for two weeks before he was born.

I was like this for the first 3 months, after having something to eat then stomach feeling completely empty again an hour later! scan showed I'm having just the one baby

No, and neither is really bad morning sickness. I have found that none of the old wives tales are true when it comes to predicting twins.
I gained more weight with my last daughter, then I did with twins, so go figure? :)

I was always hungry both times I was pregnant, and I never had twins. It takes a lot of energy being pregnant, so an increased appetite is common.

no, infact when I was pregnant with my twins, I was so nauseated at first that I couldn't eat muchand then my belly was so big and squished that I couldn't eat at the end of the pregnancy
