Nope!! I have an 18 month old here who kicked like crazy - he's tearing around the room here and has been on the go all day! Just a very very active little boy!

I asked my doctor this same question when I was pregnant with my daughter. She said that kicking too little was far more worrisome than kicking too much. However, you know your body and your baby best. If you feel that something's not right, call your doctor. They will be able to alleviate your fears if nothing's wrong, and help you and baby if there's really a problem. Good luck!

lol, no, they are just exercising so that when they are born, they will have some tone and definition in their muscles. a baby that kicks a lot is a happy camper who has too much room in the uterus. wait till it's 38 weeks along, it won't have any room to move.
but also yeah you do have a point. i've seen a nasty abortion video where it showed the suction up and the needle go into the woumb. the baby was obviously in distressed and started panicking and moving around and went to the other corner of the uterus. of course, there was no escape for him/her.

I don't think its a sign of distress - some babies are REALLY active. According to my mom (mother of 10) the tendency to kick and stretch a lot continues after birth in active babies!

Nope it just means the baby is an active one. Mine kicks all the time and by the way very seldomly do I eat anything sugary. I eat mostly your meats and veggies and fruit. So just enjoy knowing that it's in there alive and well. Congrats.

Not usually. It's more likely to mean that the mother has eaten or drunk something that is making the baby a bit over active - consider sugar, alcohol, drugs, addititve in food, junk food, coffee, cokes etc.

No , you should be glad the baby moves as much as it does .
You should start worrying if it doesn't move for days.
Your baby is fine .
Good Luck
