I want thought about answers please not jus random names off the top of ur head....What name goes with the last name Spencer 'Tyra is a possible middle name' Its 4 a girl. Expecting in just over 5weeks now!

My neighbor in the same condo unit just had a VERY close call with her daughter and a window blind. She put the blind cords up out of reach like most of us think is the right thing to do, but was unaware that the inner cord is just as dangerous. Yesterday, she left her daughter, 17-month old Madison in her room playing while she went downstairs to make lunch. Something gave her an uh-oh feeling and she ran upstairs to find Madison hanging from the inner cord of the blinds, blue in the face. She was LUCKY as the girl was breathing afterwards but with some really bad burns from the ropes around her neck. Dakota was in the hospital last night and hopefully released today. Had her mother been a few seconds later, it would have been too late.

I know it is not pleasant to think of these things, but as parents we should always remain vigilant for our children's safety! I researched it a little this morning. Please take a look at these links:

They are going to charge you with child endangerment. How do you feel about this? I personally like the idea. I am not a smoker, and my children are not allowed around smokers while they smoke.

I am in no way making my 14 month old go hungry.... but it just seems that no matter what, feeding her is a project. We go through 4 different things to eat before i feel that she is full.... she just doesnt seem to be interested in food.... she tells me she is hungry... by signing... which is great!!!! i dont have a problem knowing when she is hungry... but i have a problem getting her interested in what we are giving her. The only fruit she will eat is banana, which we had to stop because she got constipated.
Whatever we give her, it seems like she likes it at first and takes a couple more bites and then that is it. then we have to give her something else after that, and so on and so on. I'd like for her to sit down and eat an entire meal, instead of playing guessing games with her about what she is going to eat. Does anyone have any suggestions on what their children love to eat so that I can try it with my daughter?

I have 23months old daughter whom for the past 3 days doesn't want to fall a sleep.I"ve tried everything reading,singing ,talking but no luck so far she cries and cries.I"ve read that this is normal at that age and I should cut down on her nap but even that did't help.
If any one had the same problem what worked for you.

I never wash brand new clothes, I just wear them! It never occured to me that I would have to wash brand new clothes for a baby either but I've heard some talk about it. I don't want to wash the brand new outfits because they still have tags on them and if there is an issue (she's born too big for them or she ends up being a he, I want to be able to take them back!! ) What do you think? Is it really neccessary to wash new clothes?

not pregnant or married quite yet but loooooove thinking about baby names. i dunno it's weird but i've been planning my non-existant babies' names for years!

anyway i have what i think of as the most beautiful and perfect name for a baby boy. problem is it's very strange and i'm wondering you guys think i'll EVER be able to convince a man to name his son this. my current bf (who i'm living with and see myself marrying as of right now) is really into traditional names for boys, like connor and matthew and gross stuff like that. translation: should i start giving up on it now?

I have a 1 1/2 year old that only says a few things. We have a cat called bobo and she calls bobo, she says dada, mamammamamam (which just sounds like a bable), what, and she used to say babb but stopped. We have taken her to the dr and they said she is fine, as far as hearing and speaking so there nothing wrong there. My first daughter was just about speaking in full sentences by now. I say the word a ton of times before I give her an item. But I'm at my wits end. I dont know what to do. Has anyone else had this same problem and if so how did you handle it? Shes doing everything else perfectly. She walked on time (didn't bother crawling) said dada by 8 mths, holding a spoon and fork, using a sippy cup everything except the talking. Help please, but dont be rude.

I would have called the doc's office today but its a hol here. I was wondering if you must wait for the 6 week check up (after having a baby), to see if it is ok to resume a normal intimate relationship with your partner? Or is it ok to engage in intercourse as soon as you feel ready to do so? I wasnt sure if they had to check to make sure there weren't any infections ect.. I'm a first time mum and was unsure if I had to get the ok. I dont want to cause any probs for myself or partner. Serious answers only please. (took me ages to pluck up the courage to post this!)
