It depends on the type you buy. They make some that you can use a week before you are supposed to start your period. If you can stick it out, then wait until you are a few days late! And remember, it doesn't matter how dark or light the lines are... it's just that they show up. You can always re-test if you feel the results are inacurate. Good Luck!

You know actually the box on the pregnancy test usually tells you specifically if you take it 5 days before your missed period, the day of of anytime after. I happened to take mine and coinsidentally I was pregnant. I later went to the doctor and found out that when I got the positive answer on my clear blue digital I was ONLY 3 weeks along! So it all depends on the levels of that pregnancy hormone you have in you, too. Just remember pregnancy tests can give false negatives but they don't give false positives!

I got lucky, I was able to tell eary. I ovulated on the 10 of April and I took my test on the 19 and I was due for my monthly on the 24. I used the first response early result pregnancy test. I was able to tell 5 days earlier. It worked for me. Many women I know wait untill they have missed a day or so on their monthly then test. You could also get a blood test done it will tell you earlier then your missed monthly also. Best wishes.

I got two false negatives before I got a positive. Positive didn't show until 14 dpo. Don't test too early! Waste of money.

it all depends on the tester your getting some of the new ones are saying you can find out a week or 2 before your period others say the day befor or day of , look around on the testers find the one your needing the money would be worth it , I hope this helped .
