im having my first scan on thursday which makes me approx 14 week and 6 days (i know this because i had an early pregnancy scan at 7 weeks) ive read that you can sometimes tell the sex at 14-15 weeks is this true,

My husband and I are expecting our first baby (a boy) in 2 weeks and I thought we had settled on a name, but now when I ask my husband about it he seems unsure! I don't want to stick this kid with a permanent name if my husband isn't 100% set on it! It is supposed to be Harrison Michael ...but hubby seems to think that because Harrison means "son of Harry" that it is not significant. I tried to tell him that the meaning isn't overly important, as long as it sounds nice and we like it! I would love for his first name to be Michael, after my father in law who passed away, but my husband thinks that will be upsetting for other family members. I need some advice!

Hi, I have been with my wife for 6 years now, we just got married. The first 5 years, we had unprotected sex, and didnt get pregnant, and I always pulled out when I came, and I always checked to see if any was leaking out in between our sex. We have been married for 2 months, and still havent gotten pregnant. I do come inside her now, we have sex every day, but why hasnt she gotten pregnant? On her dads side, her aunt cant have kids, shejust cant, could this be a similar thing too? I love my wife with all my heart, and these two past months have made her heart broken thinking we cannot get pregannt? any ideas or suggestions, on what could be going wrong?

my due date is the 27th of this month, but my doc insist that I be induced at next week on the 20th...I was a little off by that, arent docs suppose to wait till at least two weeks after a due date to begin induction...she claims theres no reason for me to wait, because the babies already considered full term at 37 weeks...Ive been healthy my whole pregnancy and there really is no need for her to really rush things...Does this sound NORMAL? what should I do, should I wait till my due date or wait to see if the baby comes on her own....

p.s. I saw doc today and she said im already 2-3 centimeters dialated....does that mean i can go into labour by myself or i should just go ahead and let her do the induction...so cinfused FIRST TIME MOMMY!!!

I am almost 36 weeks pregnant... yay! Anyway, the last week or so I have been having a dull aching in my hoo haa and very low back. It's nothing that can be counted for how long it last really, it's just dull and feels like menstral cramps kind of. I haven't had any Braxton Hicks contractions yet, that I know of. Is this just normal aching, or could this be what Braxton Hicks feels Like? I have a doctors appointment in like 4 days, so I will find out then, but I was just curious if anyone else might have some knowledge. Thanks!

okay so my son is 4 1/2 months old and has been eating 8 oz each feeding 4 times a day, so a total of 32 oz a day. ive read somewhere that that is the maximum amount they're allowed to have each day. i wasnt planning on not giving him cereal or baby food until 6 months because that was what the pediatrician recommended. what do i do however, if he starts wanting more? usually every month or so he'll increase each feeding by another ounce. its been almost a month since he's been on this feeding schedule. any ideas on what im supposed to do? i dont want to go against his pediatricians advice....

I read on babycenter.com that there is no need to heat babys formula its just an added extra step for mom. Does anyone do this, serve it room temp? I heat my babys formula, just wondering what other mom's do? Thanks

Also my baby is 17 days old and eats every 2-3 hours and eats 2-5 oz ever time. Anyone elses baby eat this much? Thanks!

my daughter and I were both tired after a long day, and both past out at 10 pm, well she never drank her bottle, and i fell asleep right after forgetting to take the bottle out of the crib, well i wake up this morning to her drinking it....
(she will be a year next month)
What could this do to her? Bottle left over night...
Bottle made at 10pm
and she was found drinking it at 9am

He's 19mo, and he drinks 2 cups of milk in the mornng, and like 3-4 cups of sunny D. He has lots of cheese and yogert too.

i'm 13 and i was at my aunts. she told me not to do something and i did it anyways. then i backtalked when she was lecturing. she threatened to spank me and i said "ya right" and backtalked. blah blah blah. she got really angry and pulled me over her knee and spanked me. with a hairbrush too. it hurt really bad. did i deserve it?

ok my daughter is seven and a half months old. She sits up very well. when i give her a bath she is sitting in her tube by her self (with me standing there of course).. but when i got to wash her hair ... she panics... when i pour the water it goes in her eyes and mouth and she starts crying and kicking and trying to pull herself up on me... is every baby like is? do i just have to wait till she is older to understand to close her eyes or put her head down or up whatever. Any tips on making bath time easier lol

i have a 15 month old that has eczema all over her body, can i tak e her to a swimming pool? will a short swim be alright for her skin.....her skin isn't cracked or anything(no open wounds) for the most part, her skin is actually doing pretty good
