Hi Allie,

Well, in order to get pregnant you'll have to stop taking the low dose pill for starters, so you can start ovulating.

Depo is very powerful, so it's normal that your body has been having a hard time getting regulated. As a side note, I wouldn't recommend you do Depo again until you're done having kids, it's too risky.

As for you wanting to get pregnant... I would suggest you use something to force a period (like Provera) then use something to stimulate ovulation (like Clomid). Between these two meds, they are forcing your body to do what it's not doing on its own. To do this, you'll need to see a GYN for an evaluation.

Your doctor may have other ideas, but as long as you're on the pill, you won't conceive because you're not ovulating.

Good luck.

How long have you been off the depo? It is advisable to not attempt to get pregnant for at least 6 months to a year after stopping the drug.

In the mean time, you might want to try taking a low-dose birth control pill to get your periods regular. With the low-dose, your body will more than likely begin to regulate itself as the depo continues to dissipate out of your system. Additionally, if you're 35 or older, it becomes more difficult to conceive. In any regard, I'd recommend you go for a visit to your Gynecologist for an evaluation.

Good luck.

Most women, on average, takes almost a year or more to conceive after getting off depo. It's a very strong drug that does no disappear quickly. Don't worry
