ok my daughter is seven and a half months old. She sits up very well. when i give her a bath she is sitting in her tube by her self (with me standing there of course).. but when i got to wash her hair ... she panics... when i pour the water it goes in her eyes and mouth and she starts crying and kicking and trying to pull herself up on me... is every baby like is? do i just have to wait till she is older to understand to close her eyes or put her head down or up whatever. Any tips on making bath time easier lol

I just saw this cool thing at wal-mart. The front is soft rubber and forms to head and then you pour and prevents water from running in to eyes.

here you go:

I know this isn't Wal-Mart website, but same thing

She may never outgrow it my son is nearly 4 and still cannot tolerate water running over his face/eyes. I've found that a damp washcloth over the eyes while pouring the water over the head slowly works well for him at this point. With how young she is you might just try having only an inch of water or so in the tub and lay her down. Use a washcloth to rinse out her hair.

Most babies are like this at first. Try counting to three and then pouring water over. After a while she will get the cue. Also try and tip her head slightly forward so she doesnt get much water in her eyes and mouth. Another thing to try is pouring water in front of her and let her feel the water run down with her hand to get her comfortable with the feeling of water running down her body. Good luck!!

My friend has these cool things, they were like a rubber visor that you put on their head and when you pour the water over their head it keeps it form going in their face and eyes. Im not sure where she got them but you can try an internet search for them. They worked really well. good luck. Other wise just rinse it with a wet wash cloth like you did when she was a tiny baby.

use a damp washcloth to rinse her hair, the pouring of the water is too much for her. Use a small drop of shampoo, (she can;t be that dirty) and it will be easier to rinse it out. She is much too young to understand how to avoid the water on her face, kids dont master that until 2 or so.

can you try to cradle her in one arm and slowly dip her back so that the back of her head is just in the water and with ur other hand wash her hair? thats what my sister had to do with her baby because he got so fussy when she pourd water on him
