I had my baby girl 6 days ago & my mom does not trust me with her! Yes i am young im 15 but God she's my child! We just came home yesterday & i was feeding her ( bottle i cant breast-feed) & my mom snatched her from me & said that i wasnt doing it right! Then every time i start cuddling with Em ( my baby her name's Emma but i call her Em) my mom complety ruins it! It's frustrating me so much! Yes i know i am young ( i was rapped and decided to keep her & yes im doing fine im a Christan & have a awsome support group) but i mean come on she's not letting me hold my own child! What do i do? I know she deserves to hold her & i do let her hold her but she's acting like she's her mom!!!

I am 18 years old and I was raped around 5 months ago. As a result of that, I am pregnant. I've decided to keep the baby. No matter the way he/she was conceived, it's still my baby. With the help of my wonderful family and friends, I can give my child a good life even though I'm so young. My mom had offered up the idea of adoption, but that would make the situation worse...well, it would to me anyway.

My question is, when he/she starts asking about his/her father what do I say? Obviously I can't tell what happened when he/she is young...but what about when he/she (sorry for all the he/shes but I don't want to say "it") is older? I guess I'll have to to tell what happened but it's just an awful and terrible thing to have to tell anybody. I know I have plenty of time before I have to tell him/her anything, but it's on my mind....

Any general advice for me?

Never been to a baby shower before. My man and I are thinking about naming our baby Noah so I picked a theme and is ark animals. I found some really cute deco at the party store with baby animals in arks haha :) My mom is planning it for me and this is a rough look at what's supposed to happen at the shower:

> People arrive, greet, etc
> Let people eat, play music in background to just chill to
> Play games ( like 6 or 7 quick ones)
> Announce winner of raffle (we're having people bring a pack of diapers to be entered into a raffle for a nice prize)
> Open presents.
> For anybody staying (which most likely my aunt's won't leave until later on in the day) she wants to play some songs for us to dance to

Does that sound ok? Do you think we should dance for a bit and THEN open presents? Also, if you don't think dancing is tacky, does anybody know of some songs along the lines of the Electric Slide and The Cha Cha slide?

Thank you so much!!!

I am five months pregnant and currently in the process of moving in with the in-laws. My husband and I will only be living there temporarily to save money for my maternity leave. (As a state employee, I do not qualify for disability. I didn’t find this out until I was already pregnant. I am the main bread-winner, and therefore we rely heavily on my paycheck). We need to save about $10,000 before the baby is born and this was the only solution we could come up with.

My in-laws are awesome people, but I know there will be moments when I feel extremely uncomfortable (especially as I enter my third trimester). My husband and I have only been married 10 months, so I still don’t feel completely at ease with them. I don't know what is going to be expected of me and I don’t want to act like an ungrateful mooch.

How can we live with my in-laws over the next few months, but maintain a sense of independence? How can we ensure that the arrangement stay amicable? Any ideas?

Did you ever have interest in meeting your biological parents? If so, have you met them?

I'm just curious because my boyfriend doesn't know his birth father, his mom got pregnant when she was very young. She then got married a couple years later and my boyfriend was adopted by the man she married. He is completly content not knowing his birth father, but I always wonder why he doesn't want to know. I would never push him or anything, I just wonder why he wouldn't want to at least meet him and let him know he technically has a granddaughter. We know his birth fathers name and that he still lives locally, but he just doesn't care to meet him. Like I said, I respect his decision but just would like some insight on why people feel that way.

Two weeks ago, we had our daughter. Now, we're breastfeeding and supplementing with a soy-based formula (we learned from our first who had major colic from a milk-based formula).

Now I have two sample packages of Enfamil Lipil with a coupon for more, but we're not going to use it. I don't want to exploit someone by making money off of it, but I would just like for someone to pay for shipping.

Should I eBay it? Put it on CraigsList? What? I was thinking of asking around $5 for shipping, considering I don't quite know where it's going to go.

I have been trying to get pregnant, and every one keeps saying that it can take up to a year, and that it is hard to get pregnant, but I see so many other people that got pregnant when there were trying not to , and when they were even using protection. So it makes me wonder is it really that hard to get pregnant or are people just saying this to make me fell like I still have a chance?

I'm really wanting to try to get intimate with my husband again even though it's only been a few weeks since delivery. I had a 2nd degree tear which isn't as bad as the first time. I had a 4th degree the first time around and couldn't do anything for almost 2 1/2 months. Do you think we should go ahead a try or should we wait a few more weeks. I don't like waiting this long, plus I think my husband would like to also, but he did say he doesn't want to hurt me if I'm not ready. Any suggestions?
