With my first we had double insurance because I was also working so we only had to pay our deductible of around $500.00.
My oldest was air lifted at 5 1/2 weeks with a viral infection and the cost on that was $15,000.00 for the plane etc and a one week stay, if we had not had double insurance we would have been sunk, because it was close to $7,000.00 to have her.

With my second we had chosen for me to start staying home so we had to pay 20% which was about $1,500.00 and that was just to have her.
We also had 20-50% of all the other medical bills depending on what they are. I know this is not part of your questions, but if you cannot afford to pay your bill just think of the doctors like you would your electric bill etc. We have paid over the years (my kids are 6 and 8 and have had a few problems beyond normal sickness) anywhere from $50.00 a month to $250.00 a month in our percentage owed to various doctors, eye doctors, allergy doctors, etc.
My grandma and my dad both said they paid for years it seemed too, it just goes hand in hand with having kids, so just think of it as another monthly expense for the time being.

Depends on the insurance and how much they cover. My first child was a copay and we payed in the 100's. Second was totally covered and our third was totally covered. I know that a normal, healthy birth is in the $1,000's. ($5,000-$8,000) and I found out that with my third I had complications and so did she. I had an emergency c-section and with everything the final bill was $24,000. I am very grateful that it was covered by our insurance and that we didn't have a copay.

Mine was supposed to be around 180 for a regular birth and 550 for a c-section. I end up paying nothing for the actual birth because I meet my deductable before that (2,000) because I had a hospital stay in the my last trimester. Call your doctor they should be able to give you an estimate for your insurance company.

My entire invoice for giving start 15 months in the past in Idaho by c-section got here to approximately 20,000, after coverage we paid approximately 4,000 out of pocket. without the c-section it would have been approximately 4-5,000 much less. It relies upon additionally on your BCBS PPO plan, some have a separate maternity deductible of $5,000 until now they even start up paying 80%. the two your well-being care expert's place of work and scientific institution could have the means to provide you a catalogue of envisioned expenses (my OB charged approximately $3,500 for as much as fourteen recurring OB visits, vaginal scientific institution transport, scientific institution visits, 2 week and six week placed up partum appointments--yet that did no longer contain any of the ultrasounds, urine protein tests, glucose attempt, and so on.).

Mine was about 1,200 with both me and baby after insurance (that's with insurance paying 80%)

With my second, I only owed about 700, we had different insurance that paid 90%.

Plan on spending around 1,000 with insurance.

I had an emergency C-Section. Our daughter's bill was $1500.00 and mine was around $500.00. Mine was less though because my deductible and out of pocket expense had been met.

Good Luck and Congratulations!
