I know i'm not good but i want to get better so if anyone could tell me where my weak points are and what to do to improve them i'd really apperciate it. Do i even have any potential? I recorded myself singing "travelin' soldier" by the dixie chicks
i'm 14 btw

It sounds like your whispering to a tune. Use your full voice, don't try and fool anyone. Use more breath support.

It sounds good for a whisper but people don't sing their best when they're whispering-they have to use more air to force it out and it just totally messes up the potential sound. Try singing it louder and asking again. If you don't want to annoy your family or something, record it when they're not home, at a friend's house, or outside.

I agree you need more confidence sounds like your whispering. I would also try a different song. Your not bad just work on projecting your voice more

try doing this when no one is home so you can yell it. no one sounds good when they mumble, which is what you were doing. i dont know that song, but some parts sounded off. try singing it like you are on a stage 402935804598 times louder and repost your question.

I would reccommend confidence because you sound really quiet. I'd try to help you out more, but I'm a horrible singer myself.

I think you should take singing lessons and see how you do. You are not awful, I have heard worse, but I think you need lessons.
