I had the shock of my life last week. I went to the doctor about having a virus! and I was told to take a urine test. She then said that it came back positive for being pregnant! The next day I went and had a blood test and it came back negative (relief!) is there still a posibility I could be pregnant though? Why would my urine test have come back positive? HELP lol.

ok so I have suffered from anorexia for maybe a year.
Most studies show it REALLY kicjs in after three years of anorexia.,
Well I think I am cured but no one believes me..
here is what I want to say to my mom.

Mom, I love cross country and want to run in it more then ever this fall because I haven't ran in over half a year.
But, I'm not going to. I'm not going to because you can't trust me well enough, neither does anyone else. I want to join cross country for fun, not as a test, Not where I have to gain more than I need to run. But to join like a normal person again. To worry about health like most girls my age do. I want to do it when you and everyone else can trust me like I turst my self. Everyone acts like it's up to the doctors to decide when the anorexia is gone, but I think what counts is when I say I KNOW it's gone. So until I can get everyone to belive and trust myself I like i do, I don't want to run.

what do you think?

I want to know about your labor/delivery experiences and what you would change or definitley do again if you had the chance. I want to know the good, the bad, and the ungly. I am 7 months pregnant and I want to know as much as I can ahead of time so that I know my options and also so that I know possible scenarios. I know that everyone is defferent, but I still want to hear your stories. Thank you in advance for sharing your personal experiences with me!

My 6 year old has had a terrible stutter since he began speaking. He was late with starting to speak (about 2 and a half) and i wonder whether this plays any roll? The level of the stutter varies from day to day but today if has been extremly bad. We have attend speech theropy but this only intensified it as it made him nervous. We have also been to our family GP who just told us that he may out grow or it will be a permanant feature. Can anyone give me some advise on the subject as this is my experience with a speech problem.

I just told my work that I was pregnant. I wanted to make sure that all of my bases were covered when it came to my Maternity Leave in February. HR informed me that I can not get paid Maternity Leave.....Which is really not good, and it totally stressing me out now. They told me I should have applied for it waaayyyy back earlier this year. Umm...I am beyond excited about this baby, but I will admit that it was not completely planned. How was I supposed to know I should have elected ML before I was even pregnant...Anyone else feeling or going through the same thing...I feel totally (don't mean to say this) but screwed. (I have been at my job for 2 years)

Today was my son's first day of preschool. He has a serious allergy to dairy. I put that info all in his registration papers, and I also talked to the director and explained it to her. Well, when I picked him up he was sitting there with all of the other kids at lunch drinking a cup of milk!!!!! I just could not believe that! I took the cup of milk to the director, and said He is not suppose to drink milk, why was he given milk?? She just stood there, looking confused. No apology, or oh my god, or anything!!!! I really do not think I will take him back. That was such a careless mistake!! Luckily he does not have life threatening reactions, but still, what if he did???

Why do you get mad when breastfeeding mothers talk about the benefits of breast milk and how it's better then formula? Why is that so offensive for formula feeding mothers to hear? It's true, proven with countless studies, that breast milk is far superior to formula.

Why attack breastfeeding mothers when they merely state the facts? So many women seem so touchy about the subject and quickly try to dismiss how important breastfeeding is to the health of babies. Why not give kudos to the women who made the commitment to breastfeed their children despite it not always being the easiest choice?!

If you couldn't breastfeed your child then there is no reason to be defensive. I think it's the women who could and didn't who feel guilty, or something, and attack. Which is their issue. No one is calling you a bad mother. At least I'M not. So why whenever a question comes up about formula/breastfeeding do SOME formula feeding mothers get so defensive?

My daughter has been on Zantac since she was 10 weeks old. She's now almost 8 months old, and I'm trying to get her off the medication. Until about a week ago she would get the medication twice a day. I've started only giving it to her once a day, and yesterday stopped it all together. But a few days ago she started being really grumpy... and today's really a bad day. Normally she's in a very good mood.
The probem is I can't really tell if it's reflux or teething...
For other people with babies with this problem, how long was it until they did not need any medication? (Around 6 mos, we tried giving up the Zantac, but it got really bad, so we went back, at our doctor's advice).
Thanks a lot!

My daughter is six weeks old this week. I am very confused about being told to supplement with formula. On the one hand, I understand supplementing doesn't help my milk supply, but on the other hand, I just pumped three ounces in a single sitting. So my milk supply can't be low. But this amount NEVER satisfies my daughter. She never gets full. For the past three plus weeks now, she's had nursing marathons, nursing for an hour and a half of active sucking, yet she still fusses and wants more to eat and doesn't sleep. Give her 2 ounces of formula and she's resting peacefully! Can someone explain this? The school of thought that says I must only breastfeed at all times is losing here, because my fussy daughter is finally peaceful after 2 ounces of formula, despite weeks of breast milk that never seems to fill her up.

My sister in law is pregnant and has been really sick, all day. Everyone says morning sickness is associated with having a girl. Honestly I want her to have a boy.

I have a 2 year old son and it would be fun for him to have a play buddy. That and I would be super jealous. Ha.

Is there still any hope that she is having a boy?
