I am wondering if any of you at your 20 week scan were told you had a low lying placenta and did this eventuall move up. I was told yesterday not to be concerned cos it will more than likely move up but was just wondering anyone with experience of this can shed some light

This has been going on since he was about two years old and it's driving me mad. I'm sick of it.

Any techniques or punishments/deterants to put an end to this nightmare?

We can't get anything done and he spoils trips out and visits due to his endless arguing, moaning and griping.

This isn't just an age-related problem - he's been like this all his life!

Ok. My son is almost 3. He can open any lock. He sneaks in kitchen and opens the refrigerator and turns it off. I have a child lock on fridge but he can open it easier than I can. Are there any other options (refrigerator dial lock, perhaps) out there to prevent him from turning the dial to turn the fridge off?

my son is coming up to 3 he is very active and has allways been into everything, but since he was around 1 1/2 he has been waking up in the night screaming for no obvious reason.it doesnt happen all the time, its actually quite rare but when it does happen im terrified and me and my husband try everything to carlm him down but in the end only he[my son]can carlm himself down when hes actually too tired to scream anymore.im puzzled because he is not exposed to anything that could give him nightmares, nor does he have any bad memories that could trigger nightmares.can children this young imagine bad things or twist nice things they have seen into something that horrifies them?i really need some suggestions on this as me and my husband are planning to have another baby very soon and at the moment my son is still sleeping next to me in the bed and i am worried.thanks guys

My son is 8 and half months old and all he can really say is "aa!" "aa!".

Occasionally he adds a sort of vowel - ie "aa! laa! aa!" or "aa! daa! aa!".

My other half is so *desperate* to hear him say "Daddy"!! He keeps saying "He just said 'Daddy' I know he did!!" and I have to explain that it was just a random vowel noise that sounds like Daddy. He then looks really crestfallen and says "you know how to spoil the moment don't you" lol!

When did you hear your little one say their first words (or semi words?!)

I just want to see what everyone thinks in regards to discipline.
For parents do you spank your child? How do you cope when your child acts out in public? What methods work for you?

This is for serious answers only please. Thank you.

I read a lot on here parents worrying about whether their kids are reaching the proper milestones at the proper time. When I talk to parents whose kids are now in their twenties and thirties and I ask about if they were worried when Jimmy walked late or Annick spoke later or whatever else, they always said "No, I figured they would eventually". Are there any parents out there still like this? Are parents too paranoid today?

Our baby is 3 days old and my wife is nursing colostrum, not milk yet. She nurses for about 20 minutes and then he falls asleep and wakes up 15 minutes later wanting to nurse again. I can tell because he cries until I offer my pinky finger and he sucks so I hand him to my wife but she says she already gave him enough and shouldn't give him more but I see that he wants more and insist. I don't want to argue with my wife. What do we do?

Ok so I dont know how many of you have read my past posts, but I got AF on Sunday. So there goes another wasted month. Anyways I have always been irregular so any suggestions on what I can do to try and be more successful at TTC? Also, can you have one child and then when you start trying again it seems that you can not get preg. Can infertility be the cause, but was not an issue before. Please I am really trying to conceive by next month, any suggestions would really help!!!

I just recently suffered a miscarriage, After speaking with my doctor she knows obviously that I ovulate but my cycles are so off meaning that I could have a 28 day cycle one month and then a 40 some day cycle the next month. I never know when I am going to ovulate, so she suggested that once I get my first period after the miscarriage that she wants me to start on clomid thinking it will help regulate my cycles as well as better our chances of TTC. We have been TTC for over a year now with only this recent loss.

So my question is for those of you who have been on clomid before, what was your experience with it? Did you find it helpful, and how long until you achieved success with it?

With my first pregnancy (in 2006) I had horrible nausea that was very severe....lost weight, couldn't eat hardly at all. My baby is now 10 months and is beautiful...reaching every milestone. Hubby and I are working on #2, and I am worried about having the nausea again. It was awful! Any comments on second pregnancies?

I'm not one for trends. So, I'm not crazy about all of these "new" and "hip" names like, Jordan, Caleb, Taylor, Gavin.

I mean, they are great names and really cute. Just not for my kid. I want something really classic. Just my personality.

What are some classic names for both genders. I'm talking Michaels and Elizabeths, etc.

if your baby had harlequin disorder and it was the worst one out there and the dr said that the baby would be in agony from pain from the skin cracking and you either could have an abortion to minimize the pain before the neurons and nerves could feel much of it, or you could have it and watch it suffer until it died, trying to comfort it with holding and feeding, what would you do? I don't think I would be strong enough to have the abortion, but to watch it suffer, they'd have to take me away after. I'd never have children again. What would you do? I've seen videos of one crying and moving it's arms and legs on youtube.com . It broke my heart and I thank God that my baby is normal in every way, I'm so lucky. I pray they find a cure for it. I can't stop crying.
