I work at a restaurant. My restuarant closes at 10pm during the week. Tonight, a family of three adults (mother, father and grandmother) came in with two children (under the age of 7/8)

It was 9:45 when they walked in. They preceeded to order the kids pizza and ice cream (for dessert). The family was not over weight or anything; but it seem so that this is bad parenting.

I don't have children. However, I think serving their children such heavy food, so late at night is bad. I have nothing against seeing healthy looking, nice families w/ kids eating pizza if it's 6pm (in moderation too) But, by the time they finished dinner it was almost 11pm. Too late to be eating and too late for young children to be out.

I understand, kids don't always go to bed early. But, dinner at a restuarant at 10pm on a Wednesday night seems bad to me.

My son is almost 20 months & I still give him a bottle at night because it's the only way he'll drink milk. I've tried it in a variety of cups, hot and cold, chocolate, strawberry flavoured, soy, rice & almond milk...he won't drink it. Today I bought him a new "special" sippy cup just for his milk & tried putting warm milk in it at bedtime but he took one sip & threw it & got really mad! He hasn't been drinking much anyways from the bottle lately, maybe half of it so should I just abadon it altogether or keep it up since he drinks a little of it???

P.S. He eats really good otherwise, lot's of blueberries, oatmeal, brocolli, fish twice a week & cereal to name a few.

My step-son just turned 2 years old and my husband and I have been trying to potty train him for a while now. When he is over here at our house he wears pull-ups, but when he comes back from his mothers house to our house he is always in diapers? We even sent some pull ups home with him one time. She told us that she has some already. Yet he is always wearing a diaper! How can my husband say something to her without her getting defensive on her helping us potty-train him?

My first baby was a wonderful surprise. Being that she is 3 now, we would like another baby to "complete the family". How did you know it was time to have the second baby and is it easier than the first child as far as the infant and toddler stage? I've been having "baby fever" for a year, but I keep making excuses like "i need to finish school, need to make more money, its hard enough with just one!". I see pregnant women and I get jealous! I'm not sure where to put these thoughts until # 2 comes, and it may be a while. I'm 25.

My son is turning 3 next month and he's not drinking milk like he used to. I dropped him off at my grandparent's house every morning and my grandparent is not giving him milk anymore. I still want him to drink milk. They're also watching other kids as well. I've bought plenty of sipper cup......but its just a waste of money. He doesn't like it.....and my grandparent does not follow through with it getting him to use it. He still takes a regular baby bottle......I just don't want him to use it anymore. I am a single mom, work all day long. I only see him in the evening. What can I do? and no I am not able to afford a daycare right now.

I have had my vasectomy about 7 years ago. It was before my last child was born. We have three. My marriage seems to be ok, but this will definitly put some strain on it. She said that she is faithful and that the baby is mine, but I will still get a sperm count done to check if it is possible. I really don't know what to do or say to her because in the back of my mind I know that we haven't had sex that often maybe once a month near the start of her period. I pray that she has been faithful to me. I worry that this baby will drive a wedge between us as my mind won't let me believe that it is mine. Has anyone ever had this happen to them?? How can I handle the feelings I get from all of this?? I am a good father to my other children, but I am scared for what this new baby will do to us. I don't want another child-- I just hope that it is mine.

I would think so, seeing that's a huge risk to the baby, being so morbidly obese - I mean, it couldn't hurt right?? I look as if I weigh 250, but when I was 220, I looked as if I weighed 150...it's hard to explain, Im just one of those who carry their weight very well....my doctor said that I retain alot of water, and said he think 60+ pounds is water... how do I flush my system without taking diuretics and if I am pregnant what's a safe way to shed some weight in the next 9 months without straining the baby??

I'm giong back to work, when my baby is just 8 weeks old. i've found a day care lady i can afford. basically here is the situation. she is like around 40 or 50, and she has 3 grown kids ( the youngest is 14 and still lives there) and lives w/ her hsuband. they have a house across the street from our local high school. anyways, she is NOT licensed; however, she has about 4 toddler age children she watches. her whole house is set up for a day care, kids stuff in every room. she also welcomed me to drop in unannounced to check it out. i did just that and she let me right in to look around. seemed all good, there was just two things that botherd me that might seem minor. basically, she set my baby in the car seat on the kitchen table ( the manual says not to) and then the other thing was that she said " if we have an accident, it will be ok, babies bones are really flexible. when i had my daugheter ( the 14 yr old) i fell asleep with her on my lap and she rolled on the floor and everyt

My 26 month old daughter was diagnosed with Autism 2 months ago. My husband could not come with me to the actual diagnosis because of work. At first he seemed to be handling it okay asking a lot of questions and seemed concern. Lately we have been auguring about it a lot. In an argument he told me to stop trying to find things wrong with her and that she was fine. He seems to be bugged when I talk about the help she is getting through therapy, but basically anytime I say autism you can tell he tries to dodge the subject or start an argument. I really want him to come to an appointment to see that it isn’t me diagnosing her its actual doctors and everyone is just trying to help. I feel like he is mad at me for getting her diagnosed. I hate for it to be a touchy subject in our house since this is something we are going to be dealing with the rest of our lives. He really can’t leave work for appointments so is there another way I can make him more comfortable with word Autism at home.

I've seen a similar question on here about the name JATHAN.... I just don't see the issue with it. My son is 3 and his name is Jathan.... Whats the big deal??? It's different, and he won't be one of 20 kids in his class with the same name. Also people keep saying that it's a made up name.... well i got it out of a baby name book. It's not a made up name. So whats the big deal?

So DH and I are going away this weekend for our anniversary and the place has a great spa. The day I could go I will be 12 days past ovulation. So I most likely will not know if I'm pregnant this month yet. And it would be soooo early. The stress relief would be welcome but of course I'm paranoid. Yes or No to a massage? Or I was thinking a facial or back facial instead.

I read recently that you can only have 3 children, including your own, to watch at one time in your home with out being licensed.

What about if I were to have an additional adult as a helper, is it 3 total or 3 per adult?

Does any one know what the cost of getting lisenced is?

Oh and by the way the surname is Hayes. Please tell me what you think!
