Eliminate one nursing at a time, a few days apart. Start with the one that's least important to her. Until you're left with the one she loves best. If it's the bedtime nursing session, have daddy put her to bed.

You could also tell her the milk is all gone. That's what I did with my 21 month old who bit me hard and I got mad and closed up shop. All gone! Sorry. Then I'd give her a drink of milk from a cup.

Start to eliminate one feeding per week. per say, the first morning feeding, and instead of getting her and putting her in the bed with you and nursing and then go downstairs to eat, just go right down stairs and get her something to eat, possibly a sip cup with milk with a tad of choco in it, cereal with milk, or yogurt and then when she is full of breakfast keep her occupied(this is exactly what i used to do and did). then i weaned the lunch one, this was kinda hard since she needed me to help her get to sleep at lunch time, i used alot of gas, but i knew when she was tired and i would drive her around and she would go to sleep then i would lay her down, the night one i thought would be the worse but, it turned out pretty easy. i just started the routine of daddy taking her to bed, and being the one to lay her down, rocking her or such. i nursed until 15mnths she is almost 2 now, she would of still been nursing if i would not of stopped due to working at night. it takes time but stopping it cold turkey will be someone stopping a habit that way, and that does not always work, you could try it but, i could not do that. i did it the weaning way of every week or so stopping another feeding. She might wake one day and not want it at all. Contact me if you would like, i can support ya. You could also call your local le letche group and they can give you tips, you can get the number hopefully from your pediatrician or the Ob/gyn floor at the hosp.. Oh another thing I did was feed her breakfast and did something she loved, like go to the park, feed the ducks stuff like that to keep her mind off of it. good luck.

It's a hard age to stop at. You are going to have to do it slowly, and deal with some tears probably. Just take out one nursing a day and replace it with a really neat sippy cup.

i nursed my up until she was two, then one day she stopped on her own. try giving her a slippy cup that has a rubber top, try nursing her only at night or for naps. alot of times it for the closeness that baby nurse that long. but wean her gently. i know now that i really need nursing my children, i miss that one on one time that we shared.

good luck

depends I nursed untill about 2 (I think). I hated bottles so they couldn't do anything. If they're ok with a bottle give them breast milk in a bottle.

Well, they're your boobs, aren't they? just dont let her nurse. I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but don't let her nurse, introduce her to sippi cups, and keep her mind off of it.
