The cysts start to occur when the egg starts to get released, this is due to hormones and ovulation.

Hope this helps!

during the time when you should be ovulating.

I was diagnosed with PCO and basically that is the problem, instead of ovulating I would develop cysts on the ovaires preventing ovulation and causing pain.

Some woman though just get the cysts during ovulation right as your body is ovulating and they go away later in the cycle.

They happen during ovulation, after the egg breaks through the follicle. I always have a ton.
