i am really indicisive (hence the 20 questions on answers about baby names) and i was discussing baby names with my grandmother.

i like the idea of calling my baby (if it is a boy) Michael Anthony as that was the name of my uncle, who i never met, who died of TB at 19 years old.
i thought it would be nice to honour him, as i know my grandmother misses him terribly as he was her first born. however my grandmother told me that this was not a good idea and that she would be very upset at the thought of this and would not want to see him and that it would be selfish.

does anyone else think this is selfish? or is it a good idea?

im 4 months pregnant and i was a bridesmaid at my best friends wedding on Friday and during the evening i did a lot of dancing, i thought if i can't drink im still going to have fun. I did take breaks when i felt a bit tired and i did get a twinge at one time which i think may have been my body telling me to take a break which i did. I dont think i did anything too exhausting but i did bop about a bit. Since saturday i have been stricken with worry , what if i hurt the baby, what if i have give them brain damage or broke their limbs, what if they are not alive anymore. I know im probably being totally over the top but i can't stop panicing : (
any advise

I am 25 and had a positive pregancy test last week and went to see the doctor. He said I was about 5 weeks pregnant but didn't confirm the pregnancy as a positive test is all that's needed and didn't seem at all bothered by my news. I know this sounds weird but with no confirmation I'm questionning if I really am pregnant. I have had a few symptoms like tiredness, queasiness and constantly going to the toilet and I haven't had any cramping or bleeding to indicate a miscarriage. I'm just so scared that there is no baby or that I've lost it and don't know about it. This is my first pregnancy and I have noone to talk to who's already been through it. Please help, by telling me what you experienced in the first trimester.

Also, should I go from doctor's estimation of 5 weeks pregnant or from conception (about 3 weeks) in terms of how far foetus has developed?

Emotionally and I told him that he hurt me (a few nights ago). We had a big fight and he got pretty upset and blamed himself. We talked about it, sorted it out and I thought we were fine, but he is still blaming himself.

He's scared to get close to me because he's scared he'll hurt me again.

But we've been together 26months (long distance) and we talk about everything, but now he's really holding back.

I don't know what to do!

Please help!

I am a 23 year old recent college grad with no children. Although I would like to have them someday everytime I hold my friend's nephew he always cries. I have regular periods for every month...we had unprotected sex in last month but got regular period ....but after last month period since 4 day i felt very dizzy,faint,tired even though i had proper diat and actually i gained weight also 5-6 pound....i feel light center abdominal pain also....it stops after 7-8 days and now again it stared same feeling faint,dizzy,nausia,heartburn,tired,abdominal discomfort......
i just wonder is it possible that you become pregnant even if you got regular period....

a close friend has been concerned recently with her daughters' bebo account. [we live in uk] the pc is in the main room of the house, so she is keeping an eye but has noticed some foul language etc.
she investigated the account and is gobsmacked by some of the content, particularly the 'tag' which says "i'd only kick you out of bed to f*** you on the floor"
the girls is 13.
we know they're full of bravado, but this is excessive and inappropriate.
should my friend terminate the account then tell her daughter, no discussion, tough luck etc?
or sit her down and explain how awful this is and give her a chance to tone down her account profile?
this will be the 2nd time she has done this type of thing.
the parents are hard-working, responsible, kids have to do chores etc, this is not a wild house so do not judge, please just advise, as my friend is torn between clamping down massively, and trying to talk in an adult rational way.as its happened before, i think clamp down, but ...

My boyfriend and I have been dating for half a year. I am 17, he is 16, and we are definitely in love! But we both have futures planned, we want to go to college etc. We've never had sex, but we both want to and we've decided it will be OK, but we want to do everything we can to prevent a pregnancy.

I have gone through my first month (1 cycle) of taking the pill, so it should be working by now. Sometimes I forget about it in the mornings and take it later in the day, but I've never missed a day. My boyfriend also will use the Trojan condoms that come with spermicide.


Do you think this is enough protection? Is there anything more I could do (or him)?
