My 12-year-old sister is starting back to school after the summer brake and on her first day back she has Greek Day. Where she has to dress up like and ancient Greek and they spend the whole day learning what it was like to go to school in ancient Greece.
The problem is it is tomorrow and I don’t know what kind of costume to make for her and it is tomorrow
HELP, HELP, HELP, HELP, what kind of costume to I make for a 12-year-old girl to dress up like an ancient Greek
If you have any good ideas then I would LOVE to know because I don’t know what to dress her in.

Take a white bed-sheet and put it around her, tying a knot at one edge around her waist and the other edge covers her chest and goes over her shoulder and you then tie another knot with that or pin it somewhere so that it doesn't fall off. Make a few trials as to what "wrapping" will be best looking. I have made it once or twice quite well, after a few efforts.

First have her dress in a simple dress, or shorts and a t-shirt so she's not entirely dependent on her costume for "coverage". Just a note... Roman's wore Togas, greeks did not.
Next, you will need a few supplied. A length of thin rope for a belt, a solid colored sheet for the robe or gown gown (most people will use white, but that's not really necessary... even people in ancient greece liked color), and some fake Ivy or other leafy plant to make a headdress, some "cloth tape" will be useful... like the kind that you use to tape on bandages, safety pins.
It's important to realize that the women in ancient greece really didn't do the "one shoulder" Roman Toga look. They wore clothing over both shoulders, so that it really looked more like a simple gown or robe than anything else.
You have two options with the sheet. You can either arange it like a robe that fastens in the front (hence the safety pins) or you can wrap it around your dauther so that it looks like a gown and have the fastenings in the back. If you do this, you should gather the sheet to bare the shoulders like a sleeveless shirt (hence the tape). Either way, be sure to use enough pins that it feel secure.
After you've finished, use the rope to make a sort of "belt" around her middle. Then arrange her hair with the plants or IV as sort of a wreath. In all honesty, women probably didn't do this every day, but it will give her a more authentic feel.
If she has some simple leather looking sandals those would look best, but otherwise, any type of sandal will do.
I hope she has fun!

awwwwww don't stress you and 30 other parents are prob freakin out too just do the toga thing( bedsheet preferably solid color but no big deal) fold down until it drapes from arm pit to ankles wrap it around like you would a towel after you get out the tub when you get it wrapped around 1 1/2 times take the "tail" and twist it a couple times bring it over the shoulder and pin it to the back get apiece of cord, shoelace, yarn - tie it around the waist have her wear sandals if you have some silk greenery around the house or some ivy outside you can make a wreath to fit her head
OOPAH she's a greek!
Have fun

I was in somewhat of a same situation and we are lucky that where we live we have a costume shop. My son had to go as George Washington and I am not into sewing so it was easier to buy it. Togas are easier and you can use any white sheet and just get her some sandals. Look online for simple ideas as to what they should look like and how to make them

Wrap a twin sized sheet around her. Start by draping one corner from the back over one shoulder until the corner reaches her knees in the front. Then take the rest of the sheet that is in the back and wrap it around her body until you have enough sheet at the end to drape over the other sholder, then secure with a piece of rope, if she has long hair put her hair in a ponytail high on her head, use another piece of the rope to hid the band of the pony tail and use another piece of rope as a "head band". Put flat sandals on her feet.

Easy.
Long white , sleeveless robe.
V necked.
Can be made out of an old white sheet, am sure your mother will have one.
Cut it down to size.
Buy some gold braid and stitch it around the neck of the robe.
Buy a thin gold belt to be worn around the waist.
Problem solved.

Your really skinny and pretty. Dont EVER compare yourself to those models or celeberties , they have to do tons to get themselves to look like that and even after that they edit the picture on the compture. Look at the pople around you , your mom , sister , friends. Thats how regular ppl are , not those anorexic makeup filled face celeberties and models you see. You have natural beauty and dont worry about your weight because you have a nice figure.

Wrap her in a white sheet like a toga. Have her wear shorts and a white t-shirt underneath so she is fully covered.
