Are you nursing or bottle feeding? If you're bottle feeding, reduce the amount of formula you give her just a little. She's likely getting too much. If you're nursing, don't let her stay latched on as long - and don't let her stay on after she falls asleep.

The vomit is white because the milk/formula she drinks is white. Pooping twice a day is great - is she wetting her diapers enough? If there's not enough fluid coming out, there's not enough fluid getting through the system - which means there's something else going on besides overeating.

Most important, though, is that you talk to her pediatrician about it. Even if it's nothing, you want it in her chart for future reference.

From what you have written, she sounds healthy. All infants have some amount of reflux, because the stomach is not developed enough to keep all of the food down. Make sure you are not feeding her too much at one time. I would be concerned if...

-She does not gain weight appropriately
-vomit is projectile or bile (green/yellow) colored
-she seems to be in pain from the reflux, arching and screaming during or after a feeding are signs
-she vomits large amounts after every feeding. Milk allergy is always a possibility as well.

My son is being treated for reflux since 3 mos. old, his started at 2 weeks and I wish that I hadn't waited as long as I did, he really suffered without medication (he spit up/ vomited 20 x a day and cried all day long). There are medicines that can help, also sometimes switching formula (if she formula feeds) or cutting out dairy products if breastfeeding can make a huge difference. I see a lot of babies spit up and it doesn't bother them, that's normal- but if it is hurting her then let your pediatrician know and it should be treatable.

Best thing for you to do is contact an ask a nurse if you are seriously concerned. Having said that, I have 2 kids, 2 and 1, and both my children seemed to vomit a lot. From the research I did, I pretty much figured it was from their digestive track still not being fully developed. I gave it some time and patience, due to the fact that their stool and behavior was fine, plus weight was going up and not down- and it soon went away. It was stressful going through, and I wish you the best.

i'm so sorry to permit you recognize this yet you're incorrect and your daughter is nice. usual toddlers thrive on breast milk on my own throughout the time of the 1st 365 days making solids until then basically prepare. toddlers must be presented to solids whilst they bodily are able to self feed, which occurs between 6-8 months. Solids do not start up changing milk feeds until closer to a million 365 days. All a classic 6 month previous desires is 4 reliable nursings an afternoon to get all of his nutritional desires met. on an identical time as i could hassle that he could get thirsty between feeds there is not something incredibly to agonize approximately. you have not have been given any reason to hassle. believe your daughter to grant him solids whilst he's waiting. ask for forgiveness to her, tell her which you have been incorrect, and permit her be. You raised her, now permit her strengthen her newborn.

Maya spit up at 6 weeks no matter what I did (she would projectile vomit every time she ate).

Since I had her I have been hard pressed to find another infant that did not vomit after eating. In fact, of the 50 or so infants I have been in close contact with, I cannot think of 1 that did not vomit at 6 weeks.

if formula fed a switch may be needed but it could be reflux which may require a prescription for zantac for infants. My boys both got put on it around 6 wks because they couldn't keep anything down. If breastfed again it could still be reflux but it may also be something you are eating. Discuss it with your babys Dr so you can come up with a plan to help it.

Breast or bottle?
If bottlefed, try switching formulas. My son had the same problem and when I switched him to soy the vomiting stopped.
