What can I put on my daughters hair to keep it from being so dry. She is mixed, so she has that thick curly/wavy hair. What can I do to it?

What are you washing it with? Baby shampoo is Ph balanced to not bother your baby's eyes if it gets into them, but is really really bad for hair.

If you want to keep using baby shampoo for the sake of baby's comfort though, try using a spray-on, leave-in conditioner (I use aussie hair insurance and it's fantastic) - you can get it in the baby's hair without worrying about getting it in her eyes, or else when you put on hand cream you can rub your hands through baby's hair and get just a little bit of the cream in her hair.

Enjoy every minute and take pictures every day. :o)

Well, if she has cradle dap then olive oil works. My best friends daughter is mixed, and when we used olive oil for the cradel cap, we found it worked well for her hair as well.

This was only for the first 6 months or so. After that she used products that contain silicon.

Go to a 'beauty supply store' and ask them for the same type of grease that black people use ... or, if her dad is still around, ask him what he uses on his own hair. Black people's hair is very different from white peoples hair, and your daughter's 'hair' is probably more 'black' than 'white.' Put the grease (that's what it's called, by the way ... I had a black boyfriend who used it, but I can't remember the 'brand name') into her hair, then BRUSH IT until it's 'shiny' and doesn't look 'greasy.' Use it twice a day until she has 'softer and more moist' hair, and then just use it once a day.

a little olive oil. That also helps with craddle cap, too. You could also just brush in a little tine bit of baby lotion/oil.
