I have a friend with a child who is a year and nine months old. This friend has been put out and is staying with me, her mother, and my father until she moves in september. But, her mother is intrusive with the baby. She reprimands my friend in front of the baby about how the baby is being raised (eating cheerios alone in her high chair while my friend googles something, the baby had blisters because when my friend picked her up from the father he did not put socks on her, etc.). She then says things to the child like "your going to have to suffer" or if the baby cries while my friend is doing something "do you want to be important?" How do you get a person like that to back off? My friend finally told her to stop saying things like that to her kid, but she just blew it off. How does one get an intrusive grandmother to knock it off and let her daughter raise her own baby.

I had my regular period last month and early this month i was not feeling well and I was having some symptoms that I had when I was pregnant with my son like breast getting bigger and hair loss. So a couple of days ago I took two at home prgnancy test. They both came out positive but now I am having a heavy period. Could I not really be pregnant?

My 2.5 year old son didn't get his first tooth until 13 months. Just about 1 month ago his last front tooth came in (he's got all the rest of them). I just felt the back of his mouth b/c he's been so stink'n crabby lately and ANOTHER molar has popped through on the right side and the one on the left is almost there too. I thought they only got one set of molars around this age and then got another set around age 7 or something? How many more should I expect?

I am just wondering compared to some other children if my kids are really healthy in weight.

My son turned 2 at the end of april and he weighs about 34-35 pounds. The doctor says that he is not over weight but everyone is always like he is such a bug boy

My daughter turned 1 mid June and as of last week she weighed 20lbs 1oz she is no where near her big brother and is not gaining like her big brother as he was about 28 pounds at 1. They she is healthy but didnt gain much from 4 1/2 months ago when she was 18 pounds.

I have tried everything to get him to go to sleep earlier, but he will just lie in his bed and hum and sing, even for hours (his room is quiet and dark no tv or anything). He won't go to sleep before midnight. My husband and I go to bed at 10 pm, and he still won't go to sleep even with the house completely silent. I just hear him in his room humming. He never sleeps later than 8 am, and he doesn't take naps. Is he getting enough sleep? How can I encourage him to sleep longer??
