My bf wants to name it this if it's a boy!!!?

BEAVIS!!!! He wants to name our kid Beavis in all seriousness. What do you think of that? He's the crazy one right?

Yeah I really should ignore it, but also he is saying it because he really thinks it's a kickass name. But I just do not agree. He had named his cat Beavis before and I told him if we got a pet he could name it Beavis but no way in hell the kid is being named this.

Yeah, my baby's father wanted to name my son Loveall.
...as cool as that name is(...?), I wouldn't allow it. Instead I went with Lucas.
And yes, he is the crazy one. Hopefully he'll come to his senses. You're the mom, YOU decide.
To help, get a list of names YOU think are cute/likeable and suggest them to him. Keep Beavis out of the discussion and hopefully he'll forget about that name! :-)

HAHAHAHAHAHA Wow that's FUNNY. You have a crazy boyfriend right there. I honestly do not think you should name your child Beavis. There are so many other names out there, and most of them are going to be better than Beavis. I mean think of the jokes kids would be saying about him at school. Beavis sounds more like a pet name.

You should have just two little words for him the next time he tries to insist on that: "Heck no!"

Children can be very cruel, and naming the kid "Beavis" is just begging for him to be the target of every schoolyard bully and cruel joke in the book when he's old enough to start school.

If Boyfriend wants another Bevis in the family, he should go down to the pound and adopt a dog.

You'd be nuts to name that poor child Beavis. Children in school can be cruel. If you name your son Beavis you might as well put a sign on him saying KICK ME! He will be harassed for life!

How old is your boyfriend? He cant be serious wanting to name a child of yours Beavis!! I think you need to have to have a serious talk with him & explain your feelings about it. If he still doesnt understand and comply to agree on a different name, then you may have to go on it alone. Good Luck

i think that if you're sacrificing your body for 9 months and doing all the hard work, you, as the mother, should be able to name your baby what you want. i'm so glad i'm with a man who agrees that the mother should choose the name after doing the work. . .

Hell yeah he's crazy!!! I would be putting stop to that one really quick!! Just ignore him, he's probably just mucking around with you and your taking the bait! My hubbby did and as soon as I just ignored him, he stopped. They're like little kids!

Write a sensible top 5 and post it on the fridge. Let him cross off names he doesn't like and then add more. Eventually you'll get one that stays! Don't talk to him too much about it, he'll just come up with more crazy names! You pick, let him cross off.

Before your boyfriend names a child, he should honestly think of all the torture the child would go through. Does he realize how mean kids are today? I wouldn't name a child after a MTV cartoon.
