I have a son that will be 2 at the end of the month and he weighs 25 pounds and is 33" tall. He seems slim but has a very hearty appetite. If your doctor is not concerned then he should be fine. If people keep saying he is a big boy it could be he is shorter then others his age.
Just like adults, 130 pounds looks different on a 5"4" women then a 5'6" women, the perception is the taller women would be thinner but they would both be healthy in weight.
I hope that is helpful.

I don't think it is as much about the scale as it is about their eating habits.
If they are eating well ( lots of fruit and veggies) and aren't eating alot of junk food , then don't worry about what the scale says.
My 15 year old was the biggest, chubbiest baby you have ever seen. he was at the top of the growth chart until he was about 3 and then he leveled off. Now he weighs about 95 pounds which is just right because he is only about 5 feet tall. he has alot of muscle and I think he is just going to be a thin person ( lucky him).
I know people are always asking what your kids weigh ( don't let it get to you). If you doctor tells you they are healthy then ignore everyone else. Your son may end up just being a big kid. The taller they are the more they are going to weigh.
My 2 year old is a big kid. He is at the top of the growth chart and weighs 36 lbs. He is not fat at all, he is just really tall. His father is 6'3'' and I'm 5'8'' so it stands to reason that he will be tall.
Be glad your kids are healthy and if people ask say his doctor says he is just right. Who's going to argue with what a doctor says?

my daughter turns 5 in november and is 41 inches tall , she only weighs 35 lbs. She hasnt gained more than 1 1/2 lbs in the last 2 yrs and she's perfectly healthy. She's always been in the 99 + percentile for her height and weight from the day she was born. My 1 yr old however is only 21 lbs. I guess it depends on how tall they are.

My son just turned 2 and had his check-up last week. He is 37 1/2 inches tall (3" 1.5') and weighs 31 pounds. He is in the 98th percentile for height and the 89th percentile for weight.
He is actually pretty slender for his height. Pants are VERY hard to fit him in...he wears size 18 month shorts and still needs a belt, and for pants since he's so tall he needs a 2T/24 Month with a belt and they're STILL too big!!
When we're out places people always think he's 3! LOL!! He definitely gets his height from my husband.

As long as your pediatrician is happy with his weight, I wouldn't worry about it. My son is 8 months and weighs 23 lbs, but he's also very tall for his age (27" at his last official measurement two months ago, I would guess he's grown at least an inch and a half since then, his next appt isn't until the end of this month).

I have a 2 1/2 year old who is 22lbs. She is very petite. My 8 year old is 52 lbs, but when he was his sister's age he weighed about about 32-34lbs. Your children are fine. It is kids like my daughter who make your son look big. My daughter is in the less then 5th percentile in both height and weight. Stop worrying...your doctor will let you know if something is wrong!

i think your son is just fine.
my daughter is 2 going on 3 and at her 2 year check up she weighed about 26 lbs. and everyone was telling me how big she is and she eats too much. i let it get to me for a while then i realized that she is/was a happy, healthy and active toddler. now that she is going to be 3 she weighed in at 36lbs..
i did however start to limit the fast food and junk and increased the fruit and juice and water.
as long as your son is happy, healthy and active then i would not worry.

My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and weighs 16,5kg and at 92 cm.I would worry if I was you cause since your doc says that your kids are fine they are!
Also for the fact that your daughter is smaller than your boy was at the age of 1 keep in mind that boys tent to be bigger and taller than girls in most cases.
Take care :)
