Tums should be safe. Something else that works and is totally natural is parsley. People always think it is just a garnish but it originally had a purpose, to calm ones stomach after a meal.

I am 35 weeks and for the past two months have been taking Ranitidine 150 mg daily (it's a generic for Zantac). It's the best cure possible. I went without my script for a few days and the heartburn immediately returned. See if you can get some. It's great! It's category B.

Tums is safe, and has added calcium that can help.

However, my last trimester with my daughter, the only thing that helped was whole milk. I'd drink a small glass every hour or so, and it really helped.

Alternatively, call your doctor and ask. The nurse should be able to tell you!

Tums is what was on my approved list. Some Dr's can prescribe other meds but they don't like to

Drinking a glass of whole milk, a small glass, can reduce the effects of heart burn and its very safe for pregnancy you don't have to worry about pills and all that jazz but if you really need it contact the local pharmacy or your doctor for advise or questions concerning a heart burn medicine.

My doctor gave me Zantac 150. It was the only thing that worked. I only needed one and it worked all day but if I went more than one day without taking it, I would get so sick and throw up. Zantac was my life saver.
