Ok. My son is almost 3. He can open any lock. He sneaks in kitchen and opens the refrigerator and turns it off. I have a child lock on fridge but he can open it easier than I can. Are there any other options (refrigerator dial lock,perhaps) out there to prevent him from turning the dial to turn the fridge off?

S How do I keep child out of fridge when child lock doesnt work?
Ok. My son is almost 3. He can open any lock. He sneaks in kitchen and opens the refrigerator and turns it off. I have a child lock on fridge but he can open it easier than I can. Are there any other options (refrigerator dial lock,perhaps) out there to prevent him from turning the dial to turn the fridge off? I DO Have a LOCK on door to kitchen which he scoots chair or anything over and unlocks himself.

He needs to learn that he can't go into the fridge without asking permission... have you tried talking to him? tell him that he can't go in the fridge. If he's smart enough to unlock a lock then he's smart enough to understand he's not aloud to go into the fridge... find out why he's doing it? explain to him what the fridge is for and that if he turns it off all the time then his food will be yucky and he doesn't want to eat yucky food... or it needs to be on so his drinks are nice and cold... just talk to him... and find out what he can relate to.

Goodness thats one clever little boy haha maybe you can get a kitchen door that locks and use a key everytime you go in there until he learns to stop or try a more powerful lock

Why don't you block off access to the kitchen or just lock the kitchen door?

Shut the kitchen door EVERYTIME you are not in there!! Mine goes after the washing machine dials - we have all had to learn to close the door.

naw, just playing. There's a couple things you can do. Not sure what style of fridge you have, but put put a bike lock or something around it so your child can open it.

install a safety gate to prevent him fm entering kitchen
