ok so I have suffered from anorexia for maybe a year.
Most studies show it REALLY kicjs in after three years of anorexia.,
Well I think I am cured but no one believes me..
here is what I want to say to my mom.

Mom, I love cross country and want to run in it more then ever this fall because I haven't ran in over half a year.
But, I'm not going to. I'm not going to because you can't trust me well enough, neither does anyone else. I want to join cross country for fun, not as a test, Not where I have to gain more than I need to run. But to join like a normal person again. To worry about health like most girls my age do. I want to do it when you and everyone else can trust me like I turst my self. Everyone acts like it's up to the doctors to decide when the anorexia is gone, but I think what counts is when I say I KNOW it's gone. So until I can get everyone to belive and trust myself I like i do, I don't want to run.

what do you think?

It sounds like a reasonable argument/proposal.

Good luck!

sounds good I guess. The one person who knows your body the best is you! But you have to understand, if you hid your anorexia at first and you were dishonest about it, it makes sense for your mom and doctors to have a little trouble believing you at first. Anorexia is a psychological disorder...to you, you may seem fine, but to the outsiders and professionals such as doctors, it might not appear that way.

Good luck, I hope it works out for you.

What is this supposed to accomplish? No offense but if you like to run, then you should run, no matter what anyone else thinks. My doctor thought I was anorexic and kept saying that I have a "disturbed body image...blah blah blah" but I knew that I wasnt, and my parents didt trust me for awhile but I kept doing two sports even though my dad dint want me to. You just have to prove that you are right, and quitting because people doubt you is not the way to do it.

If you want to run, then run! I don't see why it matters if you're anorexic or not. Isn't a symptom of anorexia a poor body image and low self esteem? Doesn't getting involved in a sport tend to RAISE self esteem and body image?

I don't know much about anorexia, but I do know something about mental illness. Sometimes sick people know when they're well and sometimes they're just "crack headed." That's why doctors get to decide. They're trained, but not directly involved.

It's the same for judges when people get divorced. Each one may think they're being fair to the other, but they're too involved

"I wasn't meant to be the subsequent Plato of our time, or be extra poetic than Edgar Allan Poe, yet i understand that there is one ingredient i will continuously communicate approximately. My mom. To me, expressing the main suitable words for this impressive lady is virtually impossible, yet i'm speaking to you on the instant to tell on the subject of the characteristics and characteristics approximately her that are in straight forward terms a million/2 the explanation i'm proud to call her my mom." that's not copyrighted. I actually purely made this up. i wish you like it.

sounds good. shows that you believe you are cured but if they dont believe you are willing to show them. overall good!! Just be prepared for her to argue as to why you think you are cured.
