My son is 2 1/2 ( 3 in Sept). I thought he had to wait till next year to go to preschool. I talked to the parents as teachers today and they told me each perschool is different. The age only aplys to the actually schools. Being a new parent I don't know anything. So the perschool told me it's 21/2 as long as he is potty trained. Can anyone give me any info on it or if it costs or how much....ect. My son is potty trained. I'm a stay at home mom and want to put him in school so he can be with other kids what should I do.

I thought about putting my son now 3 1/2 in preschool but alot of them are just glorified daycare. Look for Mom's Day Out programs, if you want a break or if it really is to socialize your child find a playgroup (meetup.com has some really good ones) and teach him at home. That's what I do! Good Luck!

The cost and age and other requirements are totally different from place to place and school to school! You'll just have to call around to the different programs in your area to find out. Is there a local moms group you could join? That would be a good resource so you could talk to local moms about what they like and don't like about each program. I agree that looking for a moms day out program or classes like swimming or Gymboree would be good if your goal is to help him learn to share, take turns, etc :)
