yes, the light flow is often implantation bleeding, not an actual period. Implantation occurs around the same day you would expect your period.

Well, no, you can't get your period once you're pregnant — once your body starts producing the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and your pregnancy is established, your menstrual cycle is interrupted and normal periods stop. But you may have bleeding or spotting during pregnancy that can seem like a period.

Some pregnant women have what's called "implantation bleeding" that can happen around the time their period is due, and they may mistake that bleeding for a period. This spotting may be caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the blood-rich lining of the uterus, a process that starts just 6 days after fertilization, and it's generally a lot lighter than a typical period — just a day or two of very light spotting.

You can bleed while pregnant, but it's not called a period. Bleeding from the vagina is only a period if it's a result of the unused egg and lining of the uterus being shed, which if happened when you were pregnant would be a miscarriage. Any bleeding when pregnant should be reported to an OB right away. 50% of the time bleeding in the first trimester (other than implantation spotting) will result in a miscarriage. These are stats I heard time and time again when I bled with my first pregnancy.

Yes, u can!! All these people who say u cant are wrong. Granted, its very, very rare but you can still be pregnant whilst having periods. My aunty was 5 months pregnant before she even realised, but presumed she couldn't be pregnant as she was having regular periods. She went to the doctors about her sickness (not realising she was pregnant) and the doctor also ruled out pregnancy as she was having periods. They treated her for a liver infection, and when they finally found out she was pregnant they had to give her an abortion as the drugs she had taken for the "liver problem" had unfortunately killed the baby. My other aunty also had periods until 4 months into her pregancy but luckily my cousin was born perfectly healthy. So the message i'm trying to give is dont rely on a missed period to tell you you are pregnant, if you think you may be then take a test. Oh, and if you are pregnant and having periods, discuss this with your doctor as it can sometimes cause trouble later on in the pregancy xx

No, not technically. A period is shedding the uterine lining, and if that happens while pregnant, it is called a miscarriage.

You can have bleeding in pregnancy, it is never normal, but common, and should always be checked by a doctor immediately.

It is not a period as other people have said, light bleeding is common whilst being pregnant, not every pregnant lady gets it though. It can be harmless but it should always be checked. you can check with your designated midwife or gp.
Try not to worry!
