If a 7 year old child is adopted will the parent or in this case the mother have to pay anything what so-ever for the child? Will there be any sort of money that the state make the mother pay for her child to anyone??? She is going to try to adopt her for her well being her mother is not able to give the child the proper care that she needs..

My son will be 9 months in a week. He is still breast fed. But he only nursed for maybe 5 mins or less on each side. He is getting solids throughout the day. I want to make sure he is getting enough milk. I don't know how much he gets when he nurses, but usually when I pump in place of a feeding I only get out 4 oz or less; except for morning. I always have more in the morning. I am wondering if maybe he doesn't even like breast milk anymore? I haven't tried dairy products yet because he was breaking out with eczema when he got milk based formula. Dr. put him on soy. He usually nurses at 8, 12, 4:30 and 8:15. He eats solids an hour after he nurses except for the 8:15pm...then he goes to bed.

I will tell you the whole story. Please read it. We are both adults and we are virgins. We were kind of 'experimenting' and I touched her organ with mine for approx 3 seconds with no protection. It didn't penetrate and I didn't ejaculate. She got scared and pushed me away thinking she might get pregnant from that. I found it funny and I told her I think it is impossible. 3 weeks later (a few days ago) she found out her younger sister is pregnant and then she remembered our experience and began to worry again. Now she missed her period since 3 days ago. Do you think she is pregnant or this is just a common delay (she doesn't usually delay for more than one day)? Please give me all the possible explanations you can have in case you think she cannot get pregnant from what happened. Thanks a lot

ok here is the deal my son is 14 1/2 and he use to be this sweet kid. now he is the devil child and i dont know what to do with him. he is rude and mean to me trys to tell me what to do how to act. he cusses and is never serious. he does nothing i tell him to do his main goal in life lately has become to see just how fast and how bad he can tick me off he has no respect for me at all and i dont know what to do. i know i should take away letting him go to his friends house but honnestly that it the only break i get. i hate feeling this way. i love my son with all my heart but i just cant take this anymore sometimes he pushes me until i want to just hit him. i havent. and i wont but i need some answers on how to deal with this i have tried sitting him down talking it over i have tried to walk away i have tried taking his tv away. nothing is working. and before you ask he is not on drugs. (know for a fact) had him tested. and cant blame his friends they dont act this way. HELP ME

I am 14 weeks pregnant with my second and have been experiencing the strangest of problems. First I would wake up in the middle of the night, as usual, only I would make my way to the bathroom only to discover that I could not urinate. The feeling was terrible and I had to go something terrible. This has happened maybe 4 times. Today I noticed my scrubs were a little moist I guess and I went to the restroom to find out that apparently my bladder had leaked! I didn't have either of these problems with my first child. My mom says it is quite common during subsequent pregnancies yet I can't find out anything about it. I have an appt in a couple of weeks and am trying to decide if I should just wait and ask my midwife or if it is sounding more like an infection that I should call about immediately. What do you think? Has anyone else experienced this? Oh, and I also get some rather terrible pains in my right lower side, as if I have held urine for too long.

i have a 5 month old son. His farther and i are trying to work on our relationship, so i'm living at my mothers. She works all the time so it's not like i'm getting help here..

Everytime i speak with my fiance, he's out doing something... Working on a car, going to the beach ( this weekend ).. just doing things he did before we had the baby...

i'm always at home, trying desperately to get out of the house.. runinng all the errands i can imagine.. but i feel so alone.

I want to stop worrying about what he's doing.. Stop feeling so jealous that hes out having fun. I'm tired of taking care of our son all by myself.. it's getting very hard..

I moved in with mom b/c he said he was depressed and i always b*tched.. i did b/c i felt i didn't get any help..

I can't go over there and spend time with him w/o a babysitter.. he doesnt get off till 5, baby's bedtime is 7..

i go back to work partime tomorrow...

Any suggestions on how i can concentrate on ME . and not worry

I'm looking for new ideas for my 24 month old daughter. I read to her a lot, and am constantly pointing out words/objects/people/shapes, we sing our ABCs and count, but I'm wondering what else other parents do at this age? My daughter is about average with her word knowledge, but I'd like to do everything possible to encourage her more. She still babbles a lot and although her Pedi says it's normal, I want to make sure she doesn't fall behind *later* (I have a nephew who is very behind for his age). Not trying to raise a super genius, but I would like some other ideas from other parents please!!

I have been experiencing all the signs of pre-eclampsia, except high blood pressure. Can you have pre-eclampsia without high blood pressure? I have light sensitivity, head aches that won't go away, and hugely swollen ankles. But my blood pressure is nice and low (106/56). I don't have a house phone and my local cell tower is out of service, so I can't call my dr right now. Anyone here know?

Can cutting teeth cause a 6 mth old to run fevers as high as 102 to 103, for several days.... they took her to e.r. and were told she was teething( checked ears throat etc.. no bloodwork or anything) just told them to give her tylenol and motrin.... this has helped some but the fever is back up high again.... told them they needed to take her to her doc for a recheck but they said they were not worried because a freind told them that she could run as high as 104 when teething

My kids ran some fever but never this high... just wondering

Why do people come on here and ask if they are pregnant? They know how many days their cycle is, or they know that there period is late, or some say well i didn't have sex but could I be? For all those who do that and are reading this go take a pregnancy test, if you can't afford it go to the health department. Common sense should tell you if you need to take a test. Having sex a few days ago and now wondering if you are pregnant...the answer is no...if you did get pregnant from having sex a few days ago then you won't know until your period comes or you miss it. My mother taught me at a young age of this subject so I didn't worry about it unless I missed my period. I have only missed mine twice and I'm on my 2nd pregnancy. Please talk to your parents or use common sense. Thank you!

I have been breastfeeding my son, (or more or less pumping and feeding because he wont latch on) for over 5 months now. He's almost 5 1/2 mos old.
I recently had an ear infection, which i had to take antibiotics for. The doctor said the antibiotics were safe for breastfeeding. For the last 5 days or so, i've noticed the amount of milk has gone down. ( I was able to get about 6-7 ounces every time now i only get about 3-4 ounces)
Is the decrease because of the antibiotics? The frequency of pumping hasnt gone down, since it's supply and demand.
I've been take'n fenugreek to help get the supply back up, and "power pumping"
Any suggestions ? Thanks!

I am Breast feeding and I am letting down on both sides. I would like to be able to breastfeed in public. I cannot do it because the breast that the baby is not latched on to will leak and soak a bath towel. Is there anything that I can do about this? (baby is 4days old and my milk came in 2days ago)

Well, my daughter is home now. We got her back in the school and she says she hasn't smoked pot in a while now. Now, I want a divorce, this is why my daughter came home in the first place. I sent her an e-mail telling her I was asking her father for a divorce, so she came home. But I'm not sure this is the right thing to do for now. I'm 32 wks and I just flew 5 states away ALONE w/o my hubby. I'm only going to be gone until friday but I'm stressin out w/o him and w/o being at home in my familiar place where I feel comfortable and where I know Baby and I are safe. I'm on a business trip and am staying w/ hubby's bachelor friends- they're being really nice but I just feel so anxious about it all. How do I stay calm. Ok.... i feel like a dork for asking but... Im curious. We are TTC #1, and Im in my fertile period right now, got the CM going and we are doing the baby dance regularly etc.

I was wondering though, if I went swimming, and then afterwards we had sex, would the chlorine and pool water have disrupted the PH of my vaginal fluids or washed out the CM, or interfere in how well my Dh's little guys swim to their destination? Would I be drier? I really want to swim because its incredibly hot here but Id hate to disrupt our chances of conceiving this month.

But I feel like an idiot for even asking the question but you guys know how it is. You get paranoid about everything you eat or smell or how you exercise.... "will it affect our chances"...

So I'm only 17 and a first time mom and didn't know that pumping was bad to do if you hadn't had your baby yet. I have been leaking and figured I could just store it until he came. Is it really bad? I read that it will put me into labor. Is that true?

I'm a first year second grade teacher. I thought it'd be cute to have a themed bulletin board and heading for each subject that I teach (ie: Math Superstars, History Buffs, etc.)

For science I put "Mad Scientists" and plan to display the children's work underneath that heading. I thought it was quirky & funny, but do you think parents might find it offensive?
