Why do people come on here and ask if they are pregnant? They know how many days their cycle is, or they know that there period is late, or some say well i didn't have sex but could I be? For all those who do that and are reading this go take a pregnancy test, if you can't afford it go to the health department. Common sense should tell you if you need to take a test. Having sex a few days ago and now wondering if you are pregnant...the answer is no...if you did get pregnant from having sex a few days ago then you won't know until your period comes or you miss it. My mother taught me at a young age of this subject so I didn't worry about it unless I missed my period. I have only missed mine twice and I'm on my 2nd pregnancy. Please talk to your parents or use common sense. Thank you!

For those who answer saying they need comfort...I understand that, but ask for it..ask what to do if you ARE pregnant and not silly questions that make no sense at all. That is all I'm saying.

I totally agree. I don't know what makes women think that strangers on the internet are going to be able to give them any worthwhile advice on whether they are pregnant or not! And then there are the ones who want to know what the "chance" is that they are pregnant. And then there are some who think that if they only had sex once then how could they possibly be pregnant. Or what about the ones that want to know who we think the father of their child is?????

Well, i think many people seek internet advice because these all these girls probably don't have parents that are comfortable talking about that subject and/or these girls have done things behind their parents back and they are too scared to say anything. Oh and for the girls with the missed period- no sex are probably 12-13 year olds that just started their period and are confused about whats going on in their bodies. It may be a little fustrating or maybe even annoying but most girls will get out of that 'OH MY GOD IM PREGNANT' stage.

sometimes you just want insight and/or curious if what you're feeling is a sign/symptom of pregnancy. kudos to you if you never had to ask these things but some people just need to be comforted and have no one to talk to. i admit i am guilty of asking this question but at the end of the day i know that i need to take a test and see a doctor! as long as other women know that they need to take actions to find out it they're pregnant other than asking on Y!A then i really don't mind. and you can blame the bible for all the immaculate conception questions...anyway just ignore the "am i pregnant questions" which i'm sure you've been doing anyway!

My personal experience was this... I was only 2 days late and in the back of my mind I knew I was pregnant. I asked a couple of girls if what I was experiencing were the symptoms of pregnancy because I did not want the positive reassurance that I knew a test would give me. I think it is a form of denial. Although when the girls say they haven't had sex and are wondering if they are pregnant... kinda strange! As i know of we have and will have only one virgin Mary.

nicely somebody is the two very hormonal or is on their extreme horse. human beings come directly to this internet site to get education and in lots of situations to seek for somewhat reassurance. i could even wager that a number of them could experience remoted and scared and not have somebody they experience they are able to turn to. in my view, if I had left this distinctly derogatory, insensitive, serious remark i could be ashamed!!! you're able to understand all the solutions regardless of the undeniable fact that a lot of human beings do no longer. they say lack of expertise is bliss regardless of the undeniable fact that the individuals who seek for solutions to this kind of queston are neither ignorant or stupid - they do no longer look to be affraid to ask nor could they be. in case you do in contrast to this kind of question attempt yet another section! OMG - have any of you ever stopped to contemplate the likliehood that a number of those people who won't be able to spell pregnant or use applicable punctuation could be residing in sexually abusive circumstances and due to this they concern being pregnant. they are able to't "purely pass to the medical doctors" or "purely confer with somebody". the situation I volunteer with did a protracted learn into the help that infants in those concern seek for and yahoo solutions got here out as precise! Please think of until eventually now you're extremely so serious - now and back human beings, in specific susceptible infants are on the sting and one unwarranted criticism can bring about some extremely unfavorable effects.

they ask because things can happen so differently from pregnancy to pregnancy and most are not textbook pregnancies...
so when things happen and you are unsure about them, you ask.
and where better than a place full of people who have been in your shoes?
they just want opinions, they now that the people on here cant tell for sure. and its good because if say a teen asks about being preg. and most people say that they think she is, then she is more likely to stop smoking, or drinkning, or whatever else just in case...which in the end can be a good thing :)

They probably just need people to talk to. I agree, some of the questions on here are ridiculous. It scares me that these people are eligible to bear children. I can't imagine going through pregnancy and childbirth blindly. I became so educated on the subjects and like you, my mom also taught me about pregnancy when I was younger. But, who knows why they ask.

I think the reason is because there has been a total breakdown in parenting and sex education in our schools. I was taught all about periods and ovulation by my mother and my health class but so much has changed obviously.

Most of the time it's because they are too young to be having sex in the first place, so they're paranoid that they might be pregnant and get in trouble. That's why girls should be fully informed about sex and pregnancy before they become sexually active.
