First off, let me just say, good man. "still confused, iam a man" says so much. hehe.

They will always give you a date in relation to LMP, or on the 10 month, 40 week scale. Once they give you a date of how far along she is it will be that many weeks out of 40. So if they say "you're about 10 weeks pregnant" she will still have 30 weeks left.

I am not sure exactly what you are asking. The ultrasound allows you to measure the size of the baby to tell the age and due date. If they say she is 8wks for example that would be 8 wks counting from her lmp. Hope that helps.

It always counts as the last missed period. The child could be 2 or 3 weeks younger. They count these because some women don't ovulate exactly 14 days after the first day of their period, and she could have gotten pregnant at any time. So it includes those weeks. So if shes 20 weeks baby's porbably 17-18 weeks old.

When she goes in for the ultrasound they can measure the baby and tell you what the machine says of how far along she is. When I was 10weeks the machine said I was a few days past 10weeks. When I went in at 18 1/2 weeks it said I was a week further. The machines are not 100% correct so if it says she is further or behind that what she is then it's ok..the doc said up to a week-week 1/2 is fine. Babies grow at different rates. My first pregnancy I was measuring behind by a lil over a week. My daughter was just a tiny baby.

ultrasound is the day of conception, but it is usually figured out as 14 days ahead of the LMP

Going to try to decipher your question, because I am confused too.

They'll ask when her period should have been, if you know when you had sex, and make a guess from there. Then, I believe they count from the day of conception to estimate a due date.
