We just found out we are having a boy and I want to start decorating but I have a horrid imagination! Any nursery theme suggstions?

for me it seems like all im getting is dizziness and peeing wayyyyyyyyyyy more. my breasts were tendder for like 4 days now they feel fine!

I have tried putting him to be earlier/later but it doesn't work. He has always been an early bird. But it would be nice for him to sleep in sometimes.

my daughter is due on the 23rd of august but, my doctor tells me he thinks she will be coming early and i have only gained 19 pounds from this pregnancy and when i tell people she is due in a month they look at me like im crazy!! i look like im about 5 months pregnant... i go on wed for an ultrasound to check her weight but i was wondering what could i expect if she is small im a very nervous and worried new mother

i went to routine 16 week appt last week and she was in a rush running late and i asked her if she was going to listen to the heartbeat and she said no not till after 20 weeks? is this normally the case? thanks for answering.

Our baby girl just turned 4 months old. Should we really be switching to a different soother? The one we have is Avent...newborn to 3 months. What is the difference? Is the nipple shaped Avent okay still or should we be switching to a Nuk where they are shaped differently?

I am fostering a child whose emotional age seems to be around 4 - 5, even tho he is almost 9. He shows off, seeks attention, looks babyish in front of children his own age, still cuddles teddies, it is difficult for him to make friends with normal children. My heart goes out to him because he has no friends. He even slops and spill like a 4 year old. I am being laid back with him and giving him time. There is so little professional support. Am I doing the right thing. How can I help him to grow up emotionally so that he can talk to his peers and make normal friends? He has had an unsettled home life, although his mum did her best. All you folk out there with normal kids. What should I do?? I definately don't want to criticise him.

My daughter is starting a new school this fall (3rd grade) In a new town. I was talking with her and thinking about having a holiday party for each holiday (halloween, thanksgiving, easter etc) and possibly having a slumber party for new years eve. Any ideas for how to plan these out and what would be a good number of kids to invite? I am hoping it will help her to make new friends.

I was set on Chase but now I'm thinking Anna.

My other two daughters are Jordan Hope and Sydney Paige and Chase Abigail seemed in line but now I'm sort of hooked on Anna. Chase evens out the feminine part of it ... What do you think?

We got married a month ago and went on our honeymoon to the Dominican. Of course we needed to get our Hep A shot (we already have HepB) and we will need to get another HepA shot 6 months from the first shot (in december). We are talking about trying to conceive within the next few months. I will be making a doctors appt soon to talk about pre pregnancy health, but just wondering if anyone knows anything about Hep A shots and pregnancy. ?

My son is 5 months old. I had to start pumping when I went back to work. At first (about 3 months ago), I was pumping around 15oz a day. About a month ago my supply decreased to about 9oz a day, now I can barely get 6oz a day.

I pump three times while I am at work, for about 10min each time. I'm using a Medela Pump-In-Style. I nurse him when I'm not at work and on the weekends, but he still gets the occasional bottle at home. I drink plenty of fluids and eat really healthy.

Two things I think are working against me is that my son eats more at daycare than at home and that the other women in my family have all had supply issues and weren't able to nurse past 6 weeks.

I really love being able to nurse my son, its best part of being a mom.

So ultimately my question is this:
Is my supply dieing a slow death?
If so, when do I call it quits and stop nursing and how do I stop safely?
If not, how do it get it to come back?

My daughter is 3 weeks old and on the news I heard that there is going to be this flu epidemic thing going around. Is this something to be very concerned about? Do babies get flu shots? Will a flu shot prevent her from getting this flu that is going around?

so..the problem is..my two year old son loves chocolate...i always trty to make him eat healthy and so on.He eats almost everthing..leaves veggies aside but a lot of fruits and meat,potatoes..well but he asks so many times for chocolate and just starts hitting me and screaming if i say no..i really dont know what to do,because i usually end up giving him a little peace.i am not sure if thats too bad for his teeth...please help me...!!!

My friend at woek has a 19 month old son and wants to know if it is illegal to wake the child while he is asleep in nursery.

The nursery nurses have advised the mother that they are not allowed to wake the toddler.
