My friends have just had a baby boy and I would like to buy a gift. I dont want t seem obvious buying clothes but I dont know what else to get. If you get clothes what should I get? Please help!

What is with this current trend of women/girls having babies and then dumping them on their mothers to raise?

I see it all over the place and my sister is the same.

They have a baby and then decide it's too much work and the grandma ends up babysitting all the time while the children's mother just takes it easy. How completely unfair!

If you're going to have a child - be prepared to be a mother!

Sorry but does this make anyone else cringe?

Part A: Modern schools go to huge lengths to disuade girls from getting pregnant. They teach us to believe that it's the worst thing that can happen, it takes away your life, destroys your opportunities, tires you out day and night with demanding, screaming babies...your life is all but over. Needless to say, all this brainwashing effort has a deep effect.

Part B: Governments try to persuade educated women to have more children because, for some 'inexplicable'(!!) reason, a high percentage choose not to! (Go figure!)

Well, I have been influenced. It all worked a treat on me. I grew up believing that children will make me miserable, and didn't really even start to question this until age 32. Then it occurred to me that maybe, just maybe, it isn't true... Is it????

I am still scared - that I will be trapped, poor, stressed, unhappy... But others rave about it, and keep doing it. What makes the difference between a good and bad parenting experience?

My eldest son is nearly 3 and most days refuses to have a day sleep.
I never pressure him cause i assume he doesn't need a sleep any more.
He then goes to bed quite easy as 7 pm.
do other mothers experience this?

I am having brown discharge/blood for like more than 7 days, im guessing about 9-10 days.. Me and my boyfriend had SAFE sex with NO cu* or pre-cu*. 16 years old. menstration ended on the 22 or 23 of june and now it's July 26 and still nothing. i dont remember when my period started last month of june. not my first time having sex. no pills, not on anything. and yes, we used a condom. nothing came inside the condom and we are 100% no sperm came inside my vagin*. Does this mean I'm pregnant? and PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO USE A PREGNANCY TEST. I ALREADY KNOW THAT.

In January next year I will be moving away from home to go to University. This University is about 2hour plan trip away from my city.

I'm really excited and I'm looking forward to being more independant.

But I am really scared and nervous.

I will be staying in a hostel with 3 others. We all have our own bedroom but share our kitchen and bathroom. We share the cooking. I don't know who I will be sharing with. But they will be other first year woman.

What are some living skills that I need to learn in order to do well next year?

Hi there! I know it may sound unbelievable that I want to have sex this young but I'm on eighth grade, and I'm envious on some of my friends that already have had sex. I really think it may be an incomparable experience that I'm anxious to have, but I'm really scared because I think I don't know enough. My period has no arrived ever yet, and my friends have told me that I should take advantage of that since I have no risk of getting pregnant but I'm not completely sure. I am very scared, I had sex back in june right after my last peroid. Then at a party I had sex agian, with a diffrent guy, I was drunk, that was about 3 weeks ago, He told me that pulled out.(the guys at the party). Before I had sex at the party I was spoting, but I have started yet.
My question is how long do I have to wait to take a test?

They say that your brest hurt, mine dosent, But I pee all the time, I have been eating alot more than what I would normaly would.

I also was drinking the next weekend did if i am pregant did i hurt the baby

A good friend of mine has a 3 year old that ALWAYS wears shoes and socks even around the house. I have been over there late at night and he will still be wearing them. The other day I was over at her house. She put him down for his nap shoes and all! I of couse did not ask why because its not my place to question her parenting, but it just seemed odd. I was thinking he maybe likes keeping them on or she does not want to bother having to put them back on. Ever seen this before? I find myself putting shoes on my daughter when I go over there just so I do not look like a poor parent lol.

I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my second child and each time I see the midwife they tell me my baby is breech, but when I go to see my Ob, he tells me bubby is in the head down position. I'm very confused as to who to believe, not to mention worried as to why he hasn't turned. My first child was head first but he was very big, resulting in a c-section, I'm booked in for another c-section with 2nd bub, but I'm just so confused as to who is right and I was wondering if there was any way to tell which postion he's in. I read to much and am worried there may be something wrong. Should i ask for an ultrasound to make sure and to ease my mind?
