Here are a few questions you have to ask yourself: Why are you wanting to give her Benadryl? Is it because she does not sleep or you want her to go to sleep earlier? Is she napping during the day? Does she have a regular routine? Is she drinking soda with caffeine that is keeping her awake?

I think maybe you should evaluate what may be causing her to not sleep at night and ask your pediatrician for suggestions on how to treat them. Also, try looking at the website www.parenting.ed.org, parenting handouts. They have general information on there to address alot of parenting concerns.

Benadryl should only be used in VERY serious condidtions, when allergies or flu are preventing any sleep. ALWAYS check with your doctor on dosage.

If there are general everyda sleep problems, try implementing a stricter schedule.

Melatonin is an herbal sleep aid that works to get a person's sleep schedule evened out. It does not knock a person out. It is commonly perscribed for jet lag, and is safe for children.

my son was prescribed benedryll for sleep for a year, before we had to move up to a stronger medication. Trouble is, benedryll can sometimes have a reverse effect on kids and make them hyper. It will not hurt her, but it may not help either.

Have you tried a warm bath with Baby Johnson lavender wash?, it sure helps my babies to a better sleep. You give your child this and you are on the road for a drug addict.

yes.. please talk to your DR..... ASAP!! You don't need to take shortcuts with your child's health. Talk to your Dr and tell him how you kid is not sleeping thru the night he will have a better safe solution. He might change his diet..

I wouldn't do that. That particular medicine is VERY strong. Even the littlest could possibly make her sick [even "drugged" and she might not wake up for days.]
