She keeps on saying it looks to hard I'll never learn it. I say yes you will and she doesn't belive me. Please help me convince her to play.

just some friendly advice, never make someone play an instrument. i play guitar myself but i know i'd never have gotten anywhere if anyone made me, or pressured me to play it. it happened when i took trombone, at first i wanted to learn but then it became a class and jsut a chore and i got bored, sure i found fun stuff to learn (i can play greenday songs on it... interesting party trick that is) but after a while i quit because it was no fun.
you ask for help to please convince her? i'm gonna ask you to please just leave her be. let her choose an instrument that is right for her or not play one if she wants. music is never fun when it's forced. it should be an art not a task.

Well, I don't think you should push her into it if she really doesn't like it/doesn't want to. But if it is simply because she has a lack of confidence in herself and you want her to gain some by learning how to play, do this:
Tell her about some people you know who can play some sort of instrument, they started out the same way she is. Or take her favorite music artist and say the same thing. Tell her that it isn't just some stupid instrument, learning how to do new things opens up doors & can help you make new friends. Take for example my best freind savannah, she was once new to the bass guitar, but she really wanted to learn, so she did. It's been maybe a year or two and she is really good. Before she started she didn't have many friends, but now, I don't know anyone in our school who doesn't like her, lol. and she even got a cute boy to like her. He was all, "Hey you play the bass, right? I really need a bass player for my band" :]

Like another person said, make sure that she actually wants to learn how to play it before you start trying to convince her.
THEN look up lessons and suggest them to her. Or something like that.
And a lot of people can get good at an instrument just from having a good ear. I can figure out how to play a lot of songs on the piano in about 5 minutes and my bro can figure out how to play riffs on guitar in half the time.

there are 2 ways you can go about this
1. tell her guys dig girls how can play the bass true its true but since your her mother I don't think that will work to well unless you are really close.
2. threaten her muhahahahahah! tell her she can't come out of her room until she agrees to play the bass but then she will be forced to not a good idea earthier
3. take lessons with her unless you can already play
4. tell her she should be happy that you are even paying for lessons because my parents would never pay.
Do you know what tell her all good things come with practice and she should try because she would be really good at it :D

This section is actually called "Trying to Conceive," as in "Trying to make a baby," not "Trying to Convince," as in "Trying to convince my daughter to play bass".

Well I think if playing bass was not her real passion you can't force her to play it.. Otherwise, you are forcing.
Well you can try,, if you want her to play a bass then you yourself should play it and be an example...

tell her that if she plays bass, all the hot lead singers from bands will want to check her out and ultimately love her

CONCEIVE and CONVINCE are two different words.
Second of all. Ask her what she wants to play.
