My eldest son is nearly 3 and most days refuses to have a day sleep.
I never pressure him cause i assume he doesn't need a sleep any more.
He then goes to bed quite easy as 7 pm.
do other mothers experience this?
thanks

I do family day care and have two boys of my own. I think it just depends on the child (and your energy levels). I find with all of the children in my care I need a little break from them during the day...even if they don't sleep I still ask them to lay quietly and rest their bodies for a little while.

I have two boys and my grandma watches them. They are 3 and 23 months. They both nap for about 2 hours a day but they don't go to sleep until about 10:30 at night and wake up at 7:00 AM. If they do not tke a nap then they might go to bed at 9:00 PM.

Since my grandma watches them for about nine hours a day I can't blame her at all for making them nap, but of course I love it more when they don't lol!

My kids all gave up daytime naps by about 15 months. They just didn't seem to need them any more, and when they were tired once in a while they would just lie down on the couch or on their bed and go to sleep. I didn't make an issue of putting them to bed when most of the time they didn't need it.

He sounds like a brilliant boy to me. My girls stopped at 3 but it is very hard to get them to sleep at night. I,m on my own with them and I am tearing my hair out every night.
