Typically, about two weeks after she starts her period. It varies for each woman, however. She can check her discharge to see when it is stringy, almost like snot, to be gross. That usually signals when she is most fertile. The discharge is sticky in order to grab on to the sperm, which can stay alive for up to 7 days (on some estimates) while eggs usually only live around 24-48 hours.

If she has a 28 - 30 day cycle, she will be most fertile 14-15 days after the first day of her latest period. Because sperm live in the body for a few days and because the egg is available to be fertilized for a few days, a woman can get pregnant at anytime.
