My sister is getting married in another state! I really want to go. Is there anything dangerous about taking a five week old on an airplane??

I'm a good girl, have a good relationship w/ my parents. But I made a mistake, gave in to peer pressure and drank. I would tell my parents but they got to know before I could tell hem. They belived me, were nice, said w/ love they understood, but anyway took some measures that dad strongly emphasized was NOT a punishment, but a growing up process. So, during some time they will supervise me and though I'm not grounded there's some restrictions, all related to going out w/ friends. They said they'll help me go through this period, and asked me to consider they're helping and not punishing me. I got sad, told them I'm a good girl that made a mistake, this happens and there was no reason for them not to trust me. Dad assured this wasn't the case, said if he forgot $1000 on my room he'd be sure I wouldn't steal a cent, but, since I'm 13 and inexperienced, I need some help to deal w/ peer pressure. Asked me to be patient and in 1 months, he thinks, everything will be over.

I'm pregnant with me second child - a girl, I have a boy who is 2. Like most people, I have a best friend - we're so close we refer to each other as sisters and have been close for 10 years.

The thing is from about the age of 13 (now 21) I have liked the name Taylor for a girl. 2 years ago when I became pregnant with my son, my best friend was also pregnant. However she lost her baby, she said if it was a girl she would call her Taylor!!! I was so upset as that was the name I had planned for my baby, if it was a girl.

She tells everyone how she loves this name & its what her daughter will be called, I dont think she realises I liked this name first! Only now I'm pregnant with a girl. I don't know if I should call her Taylor but if I do it might look as if I'm being selfish. I don't want to hurt her but I have always liked this name. Should I call my daughter Taylor or should I look for another name?

Would you like to know some symptoms that could mean pregnancy during the 2 weeks wait? I've read many questions about early symptoms before you miss your period. I couldn't remember any from my last pregnancy, but I wasn't paying attention before my period was due either. Well I've been paying close attention these last few months while trying for another baby, and I got my positve result 2 days ago. I definitely had some signs this time that I though I'd share to whoever wants to know them.

1-6 days past ovulation: nothing as expected since the fertilized egg doesn't implant until at least the 6th day.

7-10 dpo: I got really gassy. Even my husband made a comment. I researched and found that other women had experienced this too really early.

My husband works swing shift and when he is home at night she never wants to get in bed with me. However he is on third shift this week and has snuck into my bed every night. Well last night she woke me up at 2:15 and cried and threw fits for 2 hours and refused to get in bed. I tried many times to put her back in bed and talk to her. She has no problem going to bed at bedtime just staying there all night. I asked her what was upsetting her and she said a couple different things like bad dreams or she heard a noise. Anyone have any ideas on keeping her in bed?

I am 25, just got married 7/14, and wonder if it was possible we got pregnant? I've just been unbelievable hungry lately, yet I do get full easily (only to get hungry a little later). Am I just being silly here?

Please don't be rude, I am just wondering.

I am a fourteen year old male. I will be fifteen at the end of August.

Today I looked in my wallet. I saw that I only have $3 left. I decided that I need a job.

I looked on my state's law website. You must be fourteen or higher to work in my state. I am above the age limit, so I could gt a job.

Next, I went to my mother. I told her that I want a job and she said that she was proud, even though I doubt she actually was. SHe is the type of mother that thinks that everything bad that can happen will happen. I doubt I have ever been less than a mile away from the house while she was gone. She thinks that I will be stolen.

I gave her ideas and she shot down every one.

Newspaper Route: She said that our city already has a newspaper truck that does that.

Babysitting: I am too intimidating (I do agree on this one. I am a 250 pound 6 feet, three inches male)

Busboy: THey only make minimum wage (I do not care about minimum wage. I just want a job that pays me)

yes that is what happened...two parents (the mccans) took maddie age 3 and the twins aged 18mths on hols...left em in unlocked hotel room while they went for a meal & maddie was snatched.
At current they're not suspected of anything yet my belief is I do not think they shud b allowed to work in their proffession(doctors) any longer-why the hell should they be trusted to look after other peoples kids when they cant be trusted with there own.
It has been talked about that it seemed strange that all their children were asleep not stirring at the same time-
possibly they gave them some of that medicine(cant remember its name)that makes kids with sleep problems sleep(also used for adult hayfever)
as if sum1 took the child and no suspisions arised in the hotel....wouldnt madeline of been screaming I know my 4 yr old would of!unless she knew the person or was in a state of sleep still. And why did they just take madeline would one of the twins not of been easier to take-smaller and less likeley to shout out something like wheres my mummy I dont know this person etc.
I do feel bad for them as if it happened to me Id be devastated but then again I wouldnt put my children in that situation.
how can two grown ppl of good proffessions be so irresponsible...I dont go out to the garden when my kids are in bed let alone out for a meal...the fact that they seriously had no quarms about their safety-getting out of bed/pulling things on themselves/generally getting up to mischief and hurting themselves like little ones can.Why did the mcanns have confidence that that wouldnt happen...had they drugged them with sleeping medicine.
I genuinley dont beleive otherwise that any normal human being would leave children.
It rings too many bells for me and all seems a little dodgy.
It just concerns me where there twins are now.
I think if maddie is returned safeley she should not be returned to the mccans.
If it was anyone else that had done this there twins would of been in care now but because theyr proffesionals they are treated better.
There was a small article in the paper today that a lot of ppl in britain have protested that the mccans should be investigated/prosecuted for neglect.
DAMN RIGHT THEY SHOULD.And b4 all the whiners on here start objecting to what Ive said Im not saying that I dont hope maddie is found alive and well but yes I am saying the mccans should be investigated...however bad they feel about maddie in my eyes they still neglected their children by leaving them on their own.

I have my 6 year old niece whom I keep for 3 days a week every week. She loves to test limits on how far she can get before she's punished. While out in public this weekend she would not come to me in a crowd and hold my hand. I told her twice what I wanted her to do and then counted to three. When she still wouldn't come I took her off to the side told her what was wrong and what I had expected from her and then gave her three swats on the behind. Her mother is perfectly fine with spanking and has granted me permission to use that as a tool.

A lady came up to me and said if she had her cell phone on her she'd call the authorities for child abuse on me. Am I crazy abusive or overly stern? Should I have been arrested??!

I already wrote about this topic before...when I had a pregnancy scare in the past, I received much opposition from so-called "friends" about having the kid. People discouraged me from keeping it & kept rationalizing reasons about why abortion wasn't completely bad(I'm pro-life). Here I thought I was decently capable of raising a kid if need be(I have an education, >1 job, I'm not a teen, etc), but apparently others didn't think so. Then yesterday, my friend & I were discussing this & she agreed that they were rude & incorrect, then she said that perhaps they didn't realize just how capable I am, & pointed out what SHE considered to be the #1 factor that makes people judge if someone would be capable of raising a kid or not.

So just curious, what do YOU think is the #1 most important factor that makes someone capable(or not) of raising an unplanned kid? Is it the person's job/financial stability, or relationship status, or age, or drug/party habits(or lack thereof), etc?
