Stay home. My daughter is one of the earliest drop-offs at our daycare, so I don't see who all is going to be there during the day, and it always pisses me off when I see some obviously sick child in the afternoon who was out the day before for illness, but his mom dosed him up with ibuprophine that day and thought he'd be fine. Then my daughter comes down ill and I miss a week of classes to keep her home.

Stay home! If he has a fever he's fighting something. My daycare requires that the child be fever free for 24 hours before they go back. Think of all the other kids that you'd be exposing and all the other parents who would have to miss work.

Most day cares won't keep a child with a fever for the danger of spreading a virus or infection. You can call and ask, because you may get called to come back and get him. It's a safety precaution and a good one.A fever is a sign that something is going on in the body, and it's during this time it's considered to be contagious if it's viral.

He should stay at home.. anything over 100.1 they should be kept home until the fever has been gone for 24 hours i believe. you dont' want to have him be sick and then get all the other kids and/or the teacher sick. I know I hate it when I see a kid at my son's daycare that looks awful because I know he will get getting it shortly and as a single mom I can't be missing work

Stay home cause you may end up having to leave work anyway. Daycares prefere that if your child has a fever of 100 that you keep them home even if he acts o.k.

If your child is acting normal but has a low grade fever it is really your call, but if your child is acting sick and has a fever stay home because if your child has something that is contagious, this is when it can spread to others.

Stay home. If what your son has is contagious he has to stay away from children until at least a duration of 24 hours without a fever.

I would keep her home until she is fever-free for 24 hours. Hope she feels better!

I would say in your situation, stay home. Better safe than sorry, and you can enjoy the extra cuddle time!
