The standard physician answer is around 6 months or later. My boy started with cereal at 5 months because milk would not last him more than a few hours and sleep time became a nightmare. Start cereal mixed with breast milk when it seems like they need more nourishment or you will be waking up every couple of hours to nurse them. At 6 months, start with the veggies. Hold off on the fruit for a while. Just remember 2 things, only introduce one new food per week to watch for food allergies and be sure to give them cereal and vegetables as well as fruits. Fruits go down really easy, but if they get used to just tasty fruit, it will be a pain to get them to eat more.
BTW-Regarding the allergies, no nuts or shellfish while nursing, no nuts at all for the infant until age 3 (straight from my Pediatric Allergist FIL)

You could start giving him cereal now, but if he seems satisfied on his current feedings, it's okay to wait.
You start with baby cereal - pick one, it doesn't matter which one, just make sure it's the only new thing he has for that week. (To check for allergies) Start with a tablespoon a day, mixed with either breastmilk or formula, and give it whenever he seems more hungry - morning, noon, or night. Increase the amount and/or frequency as he shows you he's ready. Once he's used to that, pick another cereal for him to try. Try all of them at least once, leaving at least three days between new ones. If he hates it on the first try, wait a bit (a week, a month, whatever) and offer it again. Once he's okay with cereal, or he's at least six months old, you can start with green veggies. It's not advisable to start with fruit or the sweet veggies like carrots or sweet potatoes - most babies LOVE the sweet stuff and will refuse the others, but if they don't know the sweet stuff exists until they like the other stuff, they're usually fine. Again, make sure it's the only new thing for at least 3 or 4 days to watch for allergic reactions.
BTW - no honey or nut products are allowed for the first year. Honey because of botulism, and nuts for allergies.

Most pediatricians will suggest that you wait until 6 months and start introducing rice cereal. Their little stomachs aren't ready for food at 13 weeks old. You may be able to start a little sooner, but not quite yet. There are a lot of people who will tell you it is okay because they did it with their child, but most doctors agree not that waiting a little while is better. Good luck!

4 months old my MD said it was safe to start rice cereal--mix it with lots of formula or breast milk so it's really runny and feed with spoon. Half of it may end up down the face --kind of funny. Start with 1 tbs.
After 4 days you can try oatmeal or multigrain--always wait 4 days in between foods to check for allergies.
At 5 months you can start fruit and veggies. I started with veggies there not as sweet as fruit. Green beans, then sweet potatoes then apples all good first time foods.
Good luck!!

13 weeks? Try 4-6 month (4 for cereal at the earliest and 6 for veggies)
If you are asking this, you need to buy a good book on child rearing. You obviously don't know much.

first of all, cereal IS babyfood. So if he's eating cereal, he's already eating babyfood. 2d, it particularly is particularly as much as you. considering which you have already began solids extremely early (6 months is the time-honored cautioned time to start), there isn't any real reason you are able to no longer start to grant some jarred meals in case you opt for. OTOH, if there's a kin historic previous of hypersensitive reaction, the longer you wait to grant different meals, the extra advantageous. diploma one meals are all noticeably lots an analogous. (None contain ingredients, salt, sugar or starches.) you may purchase organic and organic producers like Earths maximum suitable or Gerber organics, or you may purchase time-honored Beechnut/Heinz/Gerber. relies upon how choosy you're approximately organic and organic subjects. in case you're no longer too choosy, pass via fee and availability. and you are able to start up with any nutrition you like. Giving end result first won't make toddler reject greens. maximum toddlers like orange greens, so carrots or squash must be a good decision -- in spite of the shown fact that it particularly would not count number. you need to start up with peas or applesauce in case you opt for. it particularly is all purely for exciting at this factor, so regardless of he enjoys, and regardless of you savor feeding him is okay. the main important factor is to pass slow. because of the fact it particularly is merely for exciting, you do no longer want him taking lots of solids that he cuts back on his milk. as quickly as an afternoon is satisfactory at this age -- two times in case you are able to desire to. perhaps supply cereal at one meal and jarred nutrition at yet another, yet regardless of works for you is fantastic.

Best time is 3 months onwards, as your baby is 13 weeks, around now should be fine,
Try starting with a mixture of flavours and let your baby let you know which he likes and dislikes, try not to get him used to too many sweet flavours at once. enjoy!!
