dont worry i feel exactly the same way. i have been 120 lbs since i was 13 (i am now 14, i guess there isnt a really big difference). but i am not fat looking, so after a while i realized, 120 lbs is not fat. however, for you, it depends on how tall you are, what your build is (small, average or big-boned.) and how much physical activity you do on average. if you do fairly a lot, and dont eat poorly and still dont lose weight, then a lot of your weight is probably actually muscle. muscle weighs more than fat does. in order to lose a few pounds (not that you need to) DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF! in any way, shape, or form: DO NOT not eat. when you do that, you will just make yourself sick and possibly even have to go to a hospital, where they will make you eat anyway. if you go long enough without eating, you could put yourself in a life-threatening situation. instead, eat healthy low-fat, low-calorie things. but, try not to drink too much diet soda because it has an ingredient in it that may help cause cancer. but a little won't hurt. you should only drink soda on special occasions or something, and drink water or milk the rest of the time. maybe some juice, too. and eat the recommended (or at least close to the same amount of) amount of foods. like if it says Serving size: 1 cup, try to only eat 1 cup of it. but, only eating the serving size of something doesn't mean you can go and eat 20 different things at the same time, while only eating as much as it says too. that won't help you at all. eat things with fiber, and vitamins and all that good stuff. instead of cereals like Lucky Charms or Pops, try Cheerios or Fruity Cheerios if you don't like almost no flavor. Also try Kashi, the heart to heart kind. its really good. but, in the long run, try to make healthy substitutions with all of the things you currently eat. in most cases, there is a healthy equivalent to an unhealthy thing.

Your not, when I was 11 I got addicted to the evil ronald mcdonald and I was 128lbs and 4'2 I lost the weight but since I gained so much in a small amount of time I got stretchmarks on my hips, thighs, they're not super noticeable but I hate 'em so much anyways. But the point is I didn't do anything to lose the pounds except change my diet I quit eating all fastfood drink alot more water now. I don't eat greasy chips... I read labels on the food to see what I'm eating "High fructose corn syrup" is a no no. Also diets are terrible for you exspecially if you don't have alot of will power pick the one food you would never give up then eat it in much less than you used to it becomes a reward for drinking water round the clock and remembering to ride your bike for a mile. Thats what I do I like excersize that doesn't really seem like it such as swimming thats a great one and its summer so thats pretty ideal.
Also NOT eating is the worst thing you can possibly do because your body will think you can't get food and it will start to store fat for your survivial plus it can cause growth problems in the long run.

Hun I was 120 at age 13 as well but I was 5 ft 5in tall and stayed there till I was 17 after that I started gaining weight and now at the age of 27 I am 216 (part of it is still baby weight that I gained 2 years ago (thanks to my son). In todays world people think that thin is in when in fact many of the people that are famous are actually underweight and malnourished. If you feel healthy then no need to lose the weight

I weighed that much when i was 13 and i was not fat.. who tall r u. that is what the question should have... if you are 5. 2 and up that is not fat yet. Stop eating for a week.. that is more like fasting than a way to loose weight. You should eat lots of vegetables and fruit. just don't worry about eating too much of those.. you can not get fat by eating them.. stop eating any sugar. Eat healthy food and do some sport. Eat stuff with lots of fiber. like if you eat cereal buy the stuff with fibers.. you will get used to them.. so basically my advise is don't stop eating ,change your food. oh and don't eat anything with too much oil.. those greasy foods are terrible for your body.. that includes Macdonald's and chips. You are still young but do not get into habit of eating what ever you want. and if you get extra wight now it wont go anywhere later automatically.. now is the time you have to be careful not to get over 180 .. but eat as much vegetables as possible.
good luck for your new diet

First of all, 120 is not fat. It's okay to tone things up, but you should never skip eating. By not eating, you are actually causing more problems. Just eat healthy portions. I'm not saying go to McDonald's and order everything on the menu. You can eat everything you like, but just eat in healthy portions. Drink plenty of water. Get plenty of rest. Don't kill yourself by jogging five miles a day or something crazy. At the age you are, sweetie, you shouldn't be trying to lose weight. You are perfect right where you are. If you want to "tone" it up, do yoga. Yoga relaxes you, and it's very effective. I wouldn't suggest going to the gym because you can risk hurting yourself.

Feeling fat issues is a common problem and my sister is 12 and weighs almost as much as you. Don't starve yourself nothing good will come from it the only thing it will do is increase your appeitte..check your body mass index (it sees the average weight for someone your height) and ask a doctor and if you seriously want to lose weight then start looking at diffrent diet plans

You aren't fat. Dieting at your age is a really bad idea. I get the feeling that this is a self-confidence issue. If there's a particular part of your body that you're uncomfortable with, you can disguise it with clothes of a certain shape. Try reading the book "What not to Wear."

Sweetie, your thirteen years old, enjoy your life while you can, eat the extra slice of pizza, and drink the shake. You are entirely too young to be worrying about your weight and starving yourself. Not to mention what it will do to your body in the long run.

Your weight is totally normal, but if you want to loose weight try jogging around the block.

I weigh 250 pounds. I feel REALLY fat.
I think one of your problems is that you like getting on here bragging about how small you are. Find something more constructive to do.
