hi all just wondering how long you were kept in hospital for after having your baby? this is my 1st baby and altho im not due till begining of feb i was just wondering roughly how long i would be in for?

Not that my partner and I are planning on having a baby yet.
Did you save money before you got pregnant to prepare for the costs of a baby?
How much did you save? Did it cover a lot of costs?
Is it possible to raise a baby and study too?
How much does a baby cost a week?
And finally are they really a joy to have (like everyone always tells me)?

After 10yrs it has been brought to my attention that I am a father of a child. Not believing that I had a DNA test done which turned out to be mine. So, now there is a question of Child Support. No problem since I would like to get to know my son. My issue here is that the mother has a total of 5 kids 3 from her husband and 2 from different fathers. I do not believe that my son will receive all the funds. Now I have a daughter and know what it takes to support her with everything and anything she wants clothes, toys, medical, food and the amount the mother is getting from me is a ridiculous amount of money.

Now my question here is; how do I make sure my son is getting all the money I am paying?

My son has had SEVERE diaper rash for about the past week. It's been 104-106 degrees everyday and we've been swimming in pools quite a bit. I'm not sure if the rash is related to that, but we have treated him with regular diaper rash cream, and baby powder and the rash isn't responding to them.
Also, we let him go an afternoon without a diaper on to maybe dry it out.
Does anyone know a good way to get rid of something like this? (maybe it's a heat rash?)
What about natural ways?
I've heard olive oil works... NOPE! We tried that, too.

Mirabel (Mira for short) is on my short list of girl names, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a middle name. Last name is a single syllable, so one-syllable middle names are out.

As boring as it might sound to most people, I would really like to get a job at our local Value World store. For those who don't know, its basically a Salvation Army.

I've been going to this store since I was probably 5 years old and it is the one place where I would really like to work, for the following reasons:

If I'm asked where something is, I'll actually KNOW, unlike working at k-mart or wal-mart

all that I would possibly do all day is hang up clothes, tag clothes, push hanger racks, clean, and move clothes and furniture; I know what I am getting myself into.

It is close enough to my house that I could ride my bike there; I do not have to give anyone gas money until it starts to snow outside (sorry, but I wont go into "work" with salt covered, soaking wet clothes)

Getting some ideas on boys/girls names and wanting opinions on some names I like. I really like the name Danika Lynn (for a girl). For a boy I like Caleb, Hunter and Jackson. However, I'd like some other names for girls...something that would fit a girl whether she's a girly-girl or tomboy (so maybe something you can abbreviate...like Danika can be Dani) but nothing that you have to have a Ph.D. to spell/pronounce. Also, for a boy something that can include Jackson or Caleb, or something totally new. No John's or Jame's or anything too popular, but nothing too out-of-the-ordinary either. Thank you!

Ok, i thought my period was supposed to come anywhere from the 12 to the 16 when it normally does, but its the 20th and still no period. I dont want to talk a pg test yet because it gets my hopes up and if its negitve then i get really down, but for some reason i have this feeling deep inside that i could be pg, a feeling stronger than i have ever had, plus my breast are hurting, along with the nipples, and normally my nipples dont hurt, and my breasts only hurt for about 3 days and then my period hits and they quit, they have been hurting for over a week and a half now, and when i lay down, i get this feeling of wanting to puke, other than that i dont really have any symptoms of pregnancy. Could I be pg, and is it too soon to test? If I dont have a period by next month should i see a doctor? or should i just wait it out, considering i didnt have a period last july either, could it be a relapse?

ok so im a doing a college paper on babysitting co-ops being better for parents than having a teenage babysitter watch there kids. with babysitting co-ops parents switch off child care and there is no exchanging of money. sounds good right? well im supporting the fact that babysitting co-ops are better than teen babysitter for reason such as: you dont need to pay about $10 to a babysitter bc with this its free, co-ops are avaible at almost all hrs of the day unlike with teens who have school and work, you get to help out other paretns in the same situation, and i have a few more supporting details.

So what you opinion?
