I think the oldest recorded was 67.

Is this safe and healthy? Who are we to judge.
Will she be alive for her child? Probably not.
Was this selfish? Most likely.

A women can get pregnant until she no longer releases eggs from her ovaries. Which is usually during menopause but can continue afterwards.

I think the question should be, at what age should you stop having children?
-when you know you wont be alive for them
-when you are putting yourself and the baby at risk of death or illness accosiated with age.
-when your wants are more important then the childs needs.

There you have it.

The oldest woman was in her 60's, but they weren't her eggs and it was IVF.
Fertility starts to decline rapidly around 30-35, and then really fast after 35-40. A majority of doctors consider 43 to be the ethical cut-off age for IVF or infertility treatments, although ethics and what's actually being done are two different stories.
And then, of course, there's menopause which is the end of all hope of conceiving naturally. Most women have gone through menopause by age 50.

It's different for everyone, it all depends on when that woman goes into menopause. So far I think the oldest woman to give birth was in her 60's.

It depends on the woman, but I've heard on TV of a woman getting pregnant at age 60, although I assume she had the help of meds..

naturally a woman can get pregnant until she goes through the menopause but with IVF as old as she likes as long as her DRs agree.
