Just wondering.....

How did you potty train you child?

What gender?

How old were they?

How long did it take before they were trained?

I ask because my son is 2.5 and today I started potty training (he has been familier with potty since 1.5) He is really into the disney cars movie so I made him a cars potty chart, bought him the cars stickers for rewards, decorated his potty seat with cars, and bought him the cars underwear (along with a couple other things) I put him on the potty every 1/2 hour (more frequent if he did go when I put him on) He did awsome I just don't know how to get him to tell me he has to go or will it just come with time? I put him in the cool alert pull ups overnight, we'll see how that goes.
Just wanted to see how other people did things

while he was laughing when he breathed in the the little ice cube lodged in his throat and he couldn't breathe. we tipped him sideways and patted him harder on his back. he started to spit out whatever food and water he had in his mouth and all of a sudden he swallowed the ice cube. he is fine thank god. is there anything we need to do to make sure he is ok now?

The Dr. took xrays and said his brain and skull are normal but his plates were a different shape. She said the skull has been forming like this since he was in the womb. Sam was a big baby so he was pretty crunched in there. Anyway, they said as he got older and was able to crawl and sit up it would reshape. It doesnt seem to look much different to me. Should I worry?

Somebody talk me out of it... Well me and my boyfriend has been together for to years. We have a really good relationship. We are very happy and comfortable with each other. My cousin who doesn't even like kids is pregnant and I can't help but wish that was me. I have been on the birth control pills for about 4 years and is afraid that I won't be able to have kids.2 questions: I'm I crazy for being (jealous) of my cousin. And will I be able to have kids?

My husband is in the army and so when they go out into the field for weeks at a time, all of the wives spend a lot of time together. Recently I was at one of the other wives' houses and my 2 year old daughter and her 3 year old son were eating popsicles and playing outside. So, naturally when we brought them inside, we just threw them in the bath tub. My friend happened to have taken a picture of them playing and today my husband saw the picture on her myspace. Needless to say, he wasn't too happy about the picture. He yelled at me saying that there was no reason for them to be bathing together, but I think it's fine. I mean, they are toddlers. Which of us is right? Was I wrong to let my daughter take a bath with that other little boy or is my husband exaggerating?

I love the name Elijah, plus it ends with "ah" like my daughters.

I was at the grocery store today in the check out line and my 4 yr old at asked me "Mommy, why does that lady have a boy hair cut?". I tried to pretend I didnt hear her and she repeated it again very loud. I know she heard and I felt terrible because you never know the circumstances. When we got outside I explained to her that everyone has different hair cuts and its not polite to say stuff like that. Just wondering if anyone has any good stories to share?

what ways/signs did u have that labor was coming apart from the obvisous contractions like did u have more restless nights?

I've been having horrible pubic bone/vagina pain for roughly 2 days now, usually it comes on after standing or sitting for too long.
I've tried to do some research on it, and I understand what it could be, but I've been told this complaint happens much later during pregnancy.

Can anybody shed more light on why this is happening so early?

My baby is 8 months old and I was only breast feeding her till 6 months and started weaning after 6 months.She eats proper amount of cereal, fruits and vegetables .I am still nursing her; but I think that ,milk is not sufficient to her especially at nights. She wakes up almost 7 times at night and cries when she is not full.So I tried to give her formula but she is not accepting any kind of formula. It is said that whole milk should not be given till 1 year. Can I try diluted whole milk.
