I was at the grocery store today in the check out line and my 4 yr old at asked me "Mommy, why does that lady have a boy hair cut?". I tried to pretend I didnt hear her and she repeated it again very loud. I know she heard and I felt terrible because you never know the circumstances. When we got outside I explained to her that everyone has different hair cuts and its not polite to say stuff like that. Just wondering if anyone has any good stories to share?

having been told off, my 4 year old lagged behind in the middle of town and shouted as loud as he could, "I know why your grumpy, youve got your period!"
Same son also said whilst in a shopping queue, pointing to the man next to me "whats that?" (the man was a dwarf) I embarrased said, "whats what" so he repeated his question, "I said its the mans arm" and he said "dats not a man, mans arent little"!!!!
He also on a regular basis pointed out in very loud voices "theres a witch", whenever he saw a mature woman or unattractive woman. (im so glad hes 14 now)

My son isn't old enough to talk yet, but when I was 4-ish, my mom told me that I had once pointed to a lady with a lot of make-up on and said "Mommy look! A clown!"

I also used her maxi pads as "foot print stickers".

My daughter has told a woman with very few teeth, "Why do you have vampire teeth?". There was a man with very few fingers, "Why does he have three arms?". She asked an old lady, "Why do you have lines all over you?" We got stuck in a car show parade on accident (94 unclean white ford Taurus) and she waved to the crowd.

about 13yrs ago, my daughter Justine, then 4, and my son Bradin, then 2, were in the bath tub together. It was a stormy night, I was pregnant, home alone with my kids in our new neighborhood in the middle of no where and scared, so I decided to put the house alarm on. Well the lights went out for 1 second and set the alarm off. So i told the two of them to sing the ABCs really loud while I went into the next room and turned the alarm off really quickly. When I came back into the bathroom, my daughter asked "Why did you make us sing the ABCs?" and I said so I knew that neither of you were drowning while I turned the alarm off and she goes "Well I can swim but Bradin wouldn't drown, Mommy. His penis floats like my swimmys for the pool!"

At a work picnic my son warmed up to one guy, ended up sitting and playing with him. All of the sudden he said "You need to go to the dentist. You're teeth are yellow."

I was standing right next to them but sort of involved in another conversation, so just pretended I didn't hear it.

Sometimes it's fun that they can get away with blurting out things you wish you could, like in a restaurant "Why is that girl standing up on the seat? She should be sitting down. Her mother should tell her to sit down."

we were in line at the post office and my daughter said "why is her face black mommy" I said because some people have dark skin and some people have light skin, she said "no those black spots on her face, why are they there. I felt really bad, I didn't know what to say, kids this age are just so curious and blunt.
