i'm in the same boat, except my son is 22 months. my car just broke down and i work full time so on the weekends i am stuck at home. get all the house cleaning done and i sit there and get bored. don't have cable just a lot of movies. i take him outside to play in the yard. when he was younger i didn't work so i would take him outside and put a blanket down on the ground. he loved it. he liked to feel the grass. don't worry about the broke as a joke thing. it will get better goods luck.

If the weather doesn't permit going outside, you could put some music on and dance with your baby. Make up silly words to the music and hold him/her while you dance and sing. Also, you could rearrange the furniture in the house (or one room). This would give you a new look. If you can't rearrange a whole room because of windows, plugs, cable, etc., then move one thing to a new spot. You could do this in your bedroom as well. When baby is down for a nap, take a bath, you could add some of baby's soap to make a nice bubble bath (especially if you have the Wal-mart brand of the lavender scented stuff).

Oh gidgit, been there. If you cant get out, then your only salvation is the computer. Try making a pallet with every toy you can think of, a simple box might entertain the baby for awhile. pots and pans, plastic ladels and stuff, there will be noise, that is if your baby is sitting up, if not a pillow barricade with a bunch of stuff, Good Luck, all I can come up with. Talk to ya when pre-k starts lol.

Take your baby for a walk with the stroller. Take some water for you and formula for the baby. If you happen to live close to a park, walk up there take your book and sit in a shady spot with baby, maybe bring a blanket for you and baby to sit on. If all else fails go out in your back yard and sit in the shade on a blanket and read a book with baby. Or maybe you could read to baby. It doesn't matter what you read to your child as long as you do so.

I would suggest going to the library (if it is not within walking distance with a stroller, then wait until you've got a ride) and rent some baby and me excercise videos and work out with your baby. I'd also sleep whenever possible, but that is because I'm sleep deprived....

What's stopping you from going for a walk with your baby in the stroller.. .? Depending on where you from I suppose it might be too cold or hot? I talk my kids for walks, it's summer her in Ohio... You could read to the baby, put he/she on the floor for tummy time.. Engage with your baby, it's important and not that hard at a young age... good luck

If you have a stroller, put him in it, and take him for a walk, it always seems to work for me.
Good luck!
