The doctor on call is a total idiot (she doesn't even have kids!!) and mostly I have to look up all my info online and do the research myself. So my infant is 4 months old, 13.7 lb. The only medication I am sure my ped (who is not oncall, unfortunately) approved is children's benadryl.

She's schnootzing and sneezing and coughing all over the place. We all have a really bad cold in this house, and it looks like baby is miserable, however she doesn't seem to have a fever.

Does anyone have any information on dosages on things like Dimetapp cold and cough elixir or the like? Do these kinds of medications work on children this young? If anyone has a chart of dosages based on weight I would REALLY appreciate it!

I have had the worst time finding a doctor, and now that I have one, I'm still not comfortable with him. I am already 29wks pregnant, and I don't have much time to fool around. I have been strongly considering getting a midwife, and having my child at home. I just have a couple of questions. 1. I am RH- and chose not to take the Rhogam shot at 28wks, instead I will be taking it after birth... can a midwife administer this shot? #2. Is it safe? #3. How do I find one that is certified and licensed??? Can someone please help me out?

The twins are in the hospital, they were born 10 weeks early. Mom & Dad are of course back & forth to the hospital. She is supplying breast milk for them. They also have 2 little boys at home. What do they need from me???

im 15 years old and i have a 2 week old daughter ...during my whole pregnancy my parents abused me mentally they wanted me to abort and they made my life a living hell! i contacted CPS and they told me if that continues they were going to have to put me in a foster home...things calmed down when i was around 8 months pregnant..when i had my child things became worse my parents dont let my boyfriend see my daughter and he threathens me that if i lend him my daughter hes going to report that i mistreat my own daughter and they threathen to take custody of my own daughter...they still continue to tell me negative stuff my mom even scratched me because i was going to call the police!
well the point is that my mother in law wants me to report all this again to the cps for them to take me to a foster home so they could take custody of me...do you think thats possible?

Hello! I have a question. I am 18 years old and for the past two months, I babysit once a week for a family with two children. One is two, the other is four. I am there 9-5, so I don't need to put them to sleep at night, but I make them breakfast and lunch, put one down for a nap, and basically keep them busy all day. Is 5 dollars an hour enough? I feel that the children require a lot of supervision, as it is a hassle to get them to clean up after themselves, and they frequently argue with each other. Anyone with prior experience in this?

I just took a test, how common is it to read positive? If your are sure your pregnant or not? I just got a positive read on a clearblue and walgreens brand hpt, I took them each two times, a total of 4 tests altogether and all read positive. I will be going to the doctor tommrow by the way.

i am 24w 2d pregnant. I have had really bad migraines and my doctor told me i could take 2 500 mg acetaminophen 3 times a day. I took 2 and my headache wouldn't stop and i was starting to get sick to my stomach. I figured it wouldn't hurt to take 2 more a few hours later so i did. I started to feel funny but I attributred it to the heat ( it was 91 degrees in my apartment) I waited another 3 hours and took another. My fiance comes home from work and then tells me those were his 10 mg vicodin. he had put them in that bottle to bring to work and forgot them. I know i sound so stupid, but I didn't pay that close attention to what i was taking. I have been throwing up all night. The baby hasn't been moving much. I want to go to the ER but I don't want them to think i am a junkie because of my stupid mistake what should i do????

My niece has a thing of when she wants out of her car seat or wants to see something out of range, she'll pull her arms out of the straps to see. I'm worried because when my mom takes her places, she's afraid to be pulled over. The kid is almost four years old, about 26-27 pounds and 34-35 inches high. I know it's not time to take her out of a toddler's car seat, but is there any solution to keep arms in?

My dad is losing his job this August and we're gonna be short on money. My school changed the dress code & now I need a bunch of new shirts because many of my shirts are against the new code. I want a few other things too.
I have over $1000 in my savings, and I'm thinking that I'll have to delve into that and my parents wont be able to pay me for doing work around the house. They're already becoming stingy with the money..but said that they'd buy a little for me.
I wanted to sell some of my clothes and old toys and things, but my parents won't let me/help me.
I'm too young to work at most places, and I don't have a car so I can't get a job. I turn 16 in December so gift cards aren't for a while. I don't know people with young kids. I will not work in the food industry. Its hard to get rides to places from my rents because of gas $$$. I thought about online begging, but i don't think my parents would approve of me doing that.
any ideas of what I can do to get money?!! I'm out of ideas!

Like, for example, if ur baby's father's mother had only boys, it's pretty much 100% chance ur having a boy? I hav a girl, her father's mother had 4 girls & 3 boys, including him. I having doubts about whether or not I’m a.) pregnant, b.) about to begin my cycle/period, c.) just going through a growth spurt, d.) hormonal imbalance e.) possibly have an infection, or f.) have a breast cancer.

Here’s Why: My Breasts have been killing me for the past 2/3 days off and on, they’re sore/tender and hurt when I touch them and the sides, I have kind of swollen knot like spots on the inner, upper part of my breasts, the place that usually gets swollen when its that time of month, but not cancerous or anything, just hurts more than usual before starting my period. It just feels like I worked out those muscles really, really hard, but I haven’t at all.

But I’m not considering breast cancer as much (its not common in my family), cause it hurts, and also an infection, because I just had my yearly (pap) and the doctor said every thing was fine.

I have yet to get the results, so I’ll see and update my doctor on what’s going on, possibly another visit, just to be sure.

I am 35 weeks pregnant and having a hard time getting my husband to understand all that goes into a pregnancy. We argue all the time about what I should be able to do. I have a 3 year old and my husband has a 6 year old, both boys, and I take care of them all day everday. My husband and I have only been married for a year and I have accepted his son as my own since his own mother disowned him. My husband does not undertand what it is like to be pregnant and he is not empathatic towards me or helpful. He thinks b/c other pregnant woman can handle working and taking care of kids on their own that i should not have a problem. He doesn't think that i should need that much help after the baby is born either. He asked me today "are you pretty much going to be helpless and decrepid?" Ya thats how i want to view myself while i'm laid up and sore. I feel like he thinks I can come home from the hosptial and just go back to cooking and cleaning. How do I get him to understand? And help me?

my daughter is 21 months old, and recently I notice her right eye is cross sometimes, especially when she concentrate to look at something...! She used to lay on the couch and look over to the TV on her right side, I wonder if that caused her right eye to cross....should I take her to the PED soon?
