Ovulation happens about 14 days before the start of your next period. And once the egg is released it is viable for 6-24 hours. Having sex every other day is optimal.

If you have regular 28 day cycles, you ovulate at about day 14. You are most fertile just before you ovulate. Here's a good website with lots of great info.: www.fertilityfriend.com.

THIS CAN BE DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE BUT IF Y0U ARE HEALTHY AND HAVE REGULAR PERIODS THEN IT IS 10 DAYS AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF YOUR PERIOD.IN OTHER WORDS IF YOU PERIOD CAME ON THE FIRST DAY OF JULY THAN YOU HAVE THE BEST CHANCE OF CONCEIVING FROM JULY 10 TO JULY 17. IT IS ALSO ADVISED TO ONLY HAVE SEX EVER OTHER DAY DURING THIS TIME.(SPERM LIVES FOR UP TO 72 HOURS INSIDE YOU) BUT THE BEST QUALITY SPERM IS IS RELEASED WHEN LEFT TO BUILD UP.
