ishe is about to give up on breastfeeding, the baby is 4 days old and she says she is in deep pain. her nipples cracking ect, whats an ointment you can use to help this ? or any other suggestions to my daughter would help...

I dont think there should be, however one of the ladies i work with mentioned it. I though it is an interestion descussion point. I feel that as long as parents are working, taking care of the families, raising them to be upstanding members of society there is nothing wrong with having large families. I do have a problem with women having 15 children one right after another, for the rest of us to pay for with our taxes while mom and dad are sitting at home on their butts or those who have all the kids taken by the state an still continue to have more..the logic isnt there.

I'm 30 weeks today and for the last couple weeks my little girl has been kicking the right side of my ribcage almost constantly. If I bend over or slouch even a little, the pain gets even worse. Driving for more than 10 minutes or so also gets really uncomfortable. But the worst is trying to sleep at night. Is there anything I can do to coax her to move just a little bit?

Does anyone else share this problem? I can hardly talk to my mother about my pregnancy without her bringing up her past pregnancies (in a negative way) that happened 38 years ago. She's not a very good listener first of all. But it seems like she's trying to make me feel bad about everything she went through. I'm getting sick of it.

I spoke with her yesterday and said I didn't want anyone in the room with me while I'm having my baby (on Valentines day). She was with me on my first baby and it was a total mistake. She talked about her deliveries like hers were so much worse and I had it made! Whatever. Anyway, she mentioned that she would cook us a meal after I got home. I told her that my husband's cousin would be there for the week so if she wanted to cook something it would be greatly appreciated the following week. Well, there she starts. " I didn't have anyone helping me after I had y'all (5 of us). I was left to fend for myself".

What is that suppose to mean?

i thought i'd add that last part to avoid smart asses. anyways... i don't seem too be able to conceive. healty eating is not one of my best qualities. is there some ideas to prepare my body to conceive. i have visits from aunti flow, so does this mean that im NOT inferitle. every time i ask this Q i'm ask if aunti flow comes. n i heared if she comes this means that i can produce. some one help!!

ps. guys don't be smart asses n tell me u will get me pregnate... men minds are so...i don't even have a word for ignorance. mature content please.

Well, my daughters a really smart girl. She gets honor roll and all of that stuff. So, anyway, when it comes time for class projects, she gets paired with all of the not-so-brilliant kids who don't care about grades-and she ends up doing all of the work! I asked the teacher why she paired her up with them, and she said because she thought she might teach the kids and help them. Well I know she does but how is it helping when the kids don't even listen? What should I do? She ends up doing all the work!!!

My daughter's will be having their second and thrid birthday parties together in 2 months. Their father and I have no clue what theme to use. I've asked both of our children what they want and they say "Dora, princess, spiderman, pablo(backyardigans), diego, superman, and frogs." They want to use nearly every party theme I have asked them about. I figured a princess party would be best but my husband disagrees. What do you think? I do know that we are having their party at a park. We will be having a cook-out.

recently ive been having cramps and feeling like my stomach region is always hurting. when i wake up in the morning i sometimes feel sick, but never throw up. (last month and part of this month im constantly tired, pee more then usual, headaches, backaches, etc) there is a possibility of being pregnant, but im waiting to see if i get my period this month (i didnt last month) before i take another test...so for any of the already moms out there does this sound like what you went through?? i took a hpt last month but it came back neg. please help!

Is it normal for a 22-month-old boy to have the tip of his penis be purple?
I am a babysitter, but this was actually my first time babysitting a boy.

When I went to change his diaper I noticed that the tip of his penis was a light purple/brown color.... kind of like a bruise.

I asked my friend if it was normal (she works at a daycare) and she said that it's only normal if he was recently circumcised.

But, why would a 22-month-old be recently circumcised? Doesn't circumcision happen closer to birth?

She also asked if it hurt him when I cleaned him, but it didn't.

He was fine.

No crying, nothing.

He just laid they playing with his toy and watching his movie.

Is there something that could have caused this other than abuse?

I don't want to report it to CPS unless I'm pretty sure that something is going on.

I don’t think so I hate when parents get mad because their little boy wants to play with a doll. it will only make them a better dad in the future. And just because they play with a doll doesn’t mean they will become gay I believe that’s something your born with. I absolutely am not against gays just to make that clear. What do you think?????

wouldn't it be great if there were a product that you could put in your toilet that lasted like, a week (think something like 2000 flushes)... so you put it in your toilet for the week you were expecting af, and if you were pregnant it would change color? that way you could test everytime you had to pee, without wasting all those tests! i dont know, it was just a thought... how many of you ladies ttc would go for something like this?

I am very irregular and I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and it's difficult to ovulated. I don't want to waste tons of money on IVF. I wouldn't mind adopting, but my husband doesn't want to. Has anyone had any luck w/ PCOS and getting pregnant w/o IVF?

This is my second pregnancy and my last. I go in at 6am. I'm a little nervous becuase I had alot of problems for my daughter. That was 6 years ago. I was told not to eat anything after midnight. Also they are putting me on ampicillin to treat for Strep B.

1. Would it be okay to eat a biscuit and orange juice or sprite prior to going in? I hate to be hungry through labor, but is that too heavy?

2. Can an enima the night before bring on labor that night?

3. Does demerol work better than nubaine for being induced? I had nubaine for my daughter's birth and I didn't find it that strong once they put me on Pitocin. It worked great for my own labor pains though. BTW, I will get the epidural, but until I get to 4 cms I need some pain relief. LOL

4. Do you know if they will treat me with the ampicillin a few hours before they start the pitocin? I read that the antibiotic needs to be in my system before labor starts.

I'm 12 days post pardum and breastfeeding my little one. I pumped today because I want to make sure that I'm making enough milk and I want my milk supply to go up. I got about almost an ounce and a half after 15 minutes using a double pump (combined). I nurse the baby every 2-3 hours during the day and every 3-4 hours at night. She is going to the bathroom ok but at night (evening around dinner time) all she seems to want to do is nurse like she can't get enough. Just wondering if anyone knows how long it will take for my milk supply to increase even more. Thanks for any answers advice! Serious answers only though please.

I have had custody of her since she was 10, I know that it is natural for a kid to want the acceptance of their mother but now she is wanting to move to her mothers. Mom is NOT a good influence. And She has enough problems already.

I have already to her that I will not permit it because she (my daughter) has no sense of responsibility. I shold note that mom lives across the country and has been residing in a hotel with her now husband for like the last three years. It doesn't seem like a good idea.

I just wonder if I am making a mistake. Should I let her go and see for herself or do I stick to my answer
