Pregnancy & Parenting - 11 February 2007

My fiancee and I just recently decided to stop using any form of birth control. We did this right as my period ended and have been for the past week. A few times every day. My question is, what are the chances? I am supposed to ovulate around the 13th. Any input would be great! Thanks!

How long did it take to get pregnant, did you have just one of multiple? How much did it cost? Did insurance cover it and if so who was your insurance through? If taken for PCOS did the doctor prescribe anything else?

Shes younger, 19. Id say a year ago or so she had an abortion because she didnt want the baby, now shes pregnant again, she considered abortion again, but had the "oh babies are cute, i want one" attitude. I am worried because she can be quite selfish and she seems mad at me because Im not super excited about her pregnancy (im 37 weeks pregnant) because personally I think shes quite careless. This girl is my friend, and a great friend. I just dont think she will be as good of a mother as a friend. What can I do? Ive told her how I feel, or at least hinted to it. But she just had an abortion a year ago! why did that first childs life have to go and this one is okay to stay? Do people know what birth control is???

Can she ask for the baby to be washed right away instead of being wiped with a dry clothing? I wanted to know because i was put in cold water in stead of being spanked like some other babies. I wanted to know the routine for the U.S. I was born in Suriname.

I have a friend who has had several symptoms of pregnancy. Here they are....she's peeing more frequently, slightly nauseated, her stomach has become harder, breasts are "heavier", dark area around nipples have gotten darker and wider, and she also has a "darker" line on her stomach going from her belly button to her pubic bone. OK, now that you know the symptoms do you think she's pregnant or what do you think her chances are that she is pregnant?

Could someone pls explain to me, step by step, and in easy terms, what should I do to get my "time off". I am so confused with so many acronyms and HR dept. at work is no help at all. I amin California, and meet all the time requieremntes to get full benefits. No vacation, or sick days though. Im due on March 31st. Its very likely that Ill need to leave work the first week of march (because of medical reasons) so... Do i need two separate forms? one for PDL and one for after baby is born for FMLA (new child leave) ? Or one stating that when I am leaving and when I am coming back is enough?? Plus, Who send this info to the state?? Work just gave me a form for FMLA, and another for the doctor to fill out....is there something else I have to check on??? how many "paid" weeks do i get?? the 4 weeks previous to birth, 6 weeks after birth and then 12 weeks without pay?? PLEASE HELP in your own words.... websites are so confusing..

Hi, I am currently pregnant with my 3rd child. If you read may past post, it is unplanned, and unwanted. It is way too late for an abortion, but since I am obssesed with "what if's" and "I should haves" I am wondering ; has anyone who allready has kids had an abortion?? I was terrified that I would never be able to face my kids again. Is this so?? Also it would have been somewhat of a late term abortion, has anyone had one??? My brother, his girlfriend, my hubby and I recently had dinner with my parents. During dinner, my Dad launched into a whole conversation about how my mom smelled different during pregnancy (like her body gave off a different odour that he could smell if he stood next to her). Have any of you heard of this before? Do you think he smelled that same odour on either my brother's girlfriend or I? Or do you think he is just a silly old man?

I have a 2 and half year old son who crys all the time.He doesn't have to have a reasonHe would start playin then just start cryin,or he' be eating then he'll just start crying for now reason.My son is very smart for his age and speaks very well.he understands when i talk and often do stuff a regular 2 and half year old don't do.Please he's driving me crazy with all the crying,someone please help!

Yesturday morning i took a home pregnancy test and it was positive. today when i woke up i took one again and it was negitive. i dont know if i didnt something wrong when testing this morning but i still feel pregnant and i have no period. she was suppose to get her period on the 7th and its the 11th. i didnt leave my sperm inside either. we did it for about a minute. shes missed periods dates before. she doesnt feel sick or doesnt throw up. she told me she gt cramps on thursday and friday but they went away. can sum1 tell me whats goin on please?

I think there should be an Adoption section for all the confusing stages of the process. Even for people, like us, who haven't started the process yet, but plan to soon. Even for people who have already gone through the process. It's especially important for those of us who can't have kids or for those who choose to adopt instead of getting pregnant. Who else agrees? Does anyone know how to get the category added?
